OK, it looks like the problem was solved today, but it will take time to work up from a 3.0 (The Admin Effect requires 4), but it can be done. :)

    Has everyone got a 3?

I had a 4.5, and now it has dropped to 3.

Has the way of calculating the rating system got changed?

Yes. The rating system was revamped not long ago and now includes more criteria.

I think that because of the new rating system, we have all been defaulted to a rating of 3.0 until we get a proper rating by a forum admin.

I've got a 3.0 rating too. Is it default? I had a 4.5 rating before. I like that the new rating shows grammar, interaction etc. How can we up our ratings?

But there are still lots of forums to join!

I believe Ken said something to the effect that we wouldn't be able to use our old ratings, so I really think we all have been given an initial 3 on each field.
I suppose joining forums and getting rated there will be the way to go for now.

I think we're just going to have to hope that existing forum owners rate or re-rate us, which depends on whether the system to let forum owners rate posters is active yet. Since this system involves more work, does anyone know if the points they get for giving ratings have changed?

I have a question about the new rating system.
So, there is no "point" anything-anymore; for instance, there will be no 4.3 ratings, no 4.4 ratings, you will either be a "4" or a "5", with nothing in-between?
I understand that new ratings have to come in, but essentially writers that were rated 4.1 and writers that were rated 4.9 will now essentially be considered the same?
