I enjoy playing the sims 4. I'm so excited that they brought back the toddlers on the game. Does anyone watch any Sims 4 gameplay on Youtube?

I actually just downloaded it yesterday!! I'm loving it even more than the Sims 3. The only thing I don't really like is the inability to customize the colors of the hair and clothing. I've never watched gameplay on YouTube, but I haven't even had much gameplay of my own yet. I might check out a few videos when I get bored, but for now I'm having a lot of fun with all the new content. I unlocked some plumbob lamps for having Sims 3 expansion packs installed and I love them.

I played the sims 4 for about three hours but just got board of it really quickly. The game is objectively worse than the sims 3, including not having an open world, tons of load times if you want go to another building and pretty much everything else has been dumbed down to a ridiculous degree. This is the same dumbing down we saw in SimCity (2013), but at least with SimCity you had modem alternatives.

    Me, me!

I've played since the original The Sims. It's actually how I learnt English - I'm foreign. It gives me such nice warm memories.. but ye, I play The Sims 4 too. I think they're better than Sims 3. They added so many new features and possibilities to design your own Sim; especially loving the new traits! Makes them smarter. My favourite add-on is Get to Work because it finally let's us control them at their job place.

I don't watch the YouTube gameplays though.

The only thing I do hate about the Sims games are the amount of expansions but I guess that's EA's fault. They're greedy.

I really want The Sims 4 but I am trying to get away from gaming. I do watch the game play occasionally on YouTube. It only makes me what to buy the game even more. Maybe I will get it one day. I had a 2 day trial and wasn't too fond of it but it was just the base game.

I am a longtime fan of all the Sim games, but Sims 4 is my least favorite. I think one of the main reasons I am having a hard time enjoying the Sims 4 as much is that instead of improving upon the great achievements of Sims 3, it seems to go back in time to being just a small upgrade of the Sims 2. I really think they should rename the Sims 4 to the Sim 2.5!

The things I do like about the Sims 4 is the improvements that were made to the sims personalities, characteristics, and interactions among other sims. The sims now have realistically unique personalities that can make game play a little more fun and unpredictable.

For now I am playing mostly Sims 3, but I am slowly getting more interested in the Sims 4 as they bring out more expansions to enhance the game play!

I think the Sims 4 suffered greatly from the release of SimCity not all that long before it. It was supposedly going to have a lot more online functionality, and with the backlash of users against 'always online', they had to change their goals in the middle of development and wound up with a dumbed-down engine that was supposed to make up for it with some sort of multiplayer functionality and wound up with the worst of both worlds.

Sim 4 is OK for what it is - though they still seem to charge too much for too little in terms of expansion packs, in my opinion - but it doesn't have the charm of Sim 2 or the ambitious designs of Sim 3. The emotions system, multitasking, etc. are all neat additions that I hope are absolutely carried forward. I appreciate the compromise that was made between open world vs. actual performance, but I sincerely miss how the Sims 3 had a more in-depth simulation thanks to it.

It still seems to be doing comparably well for them even though it's been a bit of a debacle, so hopefully The Sims 5 will get the love, time, and development dollars the series deserves.

Hi OwenQ, I agree in missing the open world feel of Sims 3 and the many ways one could play their game. Sims 3 had so much to offer, such as: the open world, varied choices of jobs or professions, gardening, treasure hunting, business ownership( especially resort related), supernatural beings, aliens, pets, and much more! There seems to be something for everyone in Sims 3!

Hopefully, they will make the Sims 5 to where it will shock our socks off!

Well, jeleanore, I think this has more to do with the accumulation of expansion packs. Sims 4 may look somewhat similar by the end - it does have more robust business owernship than Sims 3, and 'real' jobs that have associated gameplay. Sim 3 excelled mostly at putting it into context - there was a much more real sense of place when you went to the Firehouse to be a fireman, rather than just loading in to the police station in Sims 4.

I too hope Sim 5 will have a good foundation to build on - Sims 3's engine led to a lot of slow-down and crashes, and Sims 4 took out too many bits to avoid the same. Hopefully Sims 5 will be happy medium.

I am absolutely in love with The Sims 4. I just love the idea of being able to create a new life and live through my characters. When they added the toddlers into the game I instantly fell in love. Although they can be very demanding and very busy, they bring life and excitement to the game. One thing I wish they would add though is Sims University or a way that you can go to school with your sims. All in all, its a very good game.
