In my opinion, the term “art” covers many different things. It can include anything from writing to sculpting and everything in between. It can also include things like upcycling or turning trash to treasure.

I consider people who create beautiful rooms within their homes, or gorgeous yards and gardens, artists as well. I think people who make great music are artistic too. There are just so many ways to be artistic.

Based on your own interpretation of what construes art, do you consider yourself artistic? Have you always been the creative type?

Music is a form of art. I requires a lot to make a great music piece. Its a combination of experience, hope, faith, passion and several elements. Painting a picture of all these in the mind and then converting it into music to me is the peak of art. I make music and sometimes the way musicians think scares me, so deep.

I consider myself an artist. I make textile art with fabric and I make graphics with Photoshop. I just do these things for fun but I find beauty in them.

I'm an art lover. It is my hobby to draw and paint since I started to know how to practice a pencil. I have many drawing collections that I made earlier. Drawing is more challenging than painting. In my school, I am always chosen as a school's competitor when there are drawing and painting competitions. Drawing and painting are the forms of writing too because they have the themes, character, and a story. Drawing or painting is a journal for me to document the periodic affairs in my life through sketching it in my art book.

Sadly, I'm not at all artistic. I can't draw nor paint. I also can't sing nor write music. I learned to play the guitar in high school but only because it's a requirement. The closest to being artistic I can get is just limited to home decoration. But even with that, I can't hundred percent say that I'm very good at it. Although a few people I know gives a positive comment on how I keep my little house. So, I'm probably doing something right there.

I tend to be more of a performing arts type than a visual arts type. That said, I think that’s why I enjoy fashion and personal style so much. Obviously there’s a visual element, but there’s also the idea of evoking a certain persona via what I’m wearing, which adds a bit of a theatrical aspect. I also love to make my surroundings as visually pleasing as possible.

My heart will always belong to music, though. I’ve been singing since I was single-digit age, and I started playing guitar when I was a teenager. I’ve always been reluctant to write my own material, but I still love it and find it therapeutic. Especially when I find new ways to interpret songs I’ve been hearing for ages. I’ve dabbled in quite a few creative fields over the years, but I always come back to music and fashion.

Unfortunately no I am not artistic. I believe in order to become an artistic person you should be creative and I fail miserably in that field. I enjoy cooking and watching movies and I know that is nowhere close to being artistic.

As a writer and performance poet I consider myself to be an artist. I don't see my work being regarded as comparable to Shakespeare or hitting the best-seller lists but it is who I am and what I do. Art covers everything from sculpture to mime. Everything is art, but some art is better than other art. The Mona Lisa clearly took more effort than Tracy Emin's unmade bed.

Unfortunately, I do not think I'm artistic. Works of Shakespeare move me and several times I will reread his plays to get that feeling again. But I'm hopeless with visual arts. I've tried so many times to do that "frozen stare" at paintings to capture/appreciate what the artist was trying to convey, and I always left as blank as when I started. While other people can analyze a painting and explain how they connect with it, I sometimes feel I just don't have an eye for it. The only painting that has left an impression on me is one with a guy in a suit and green apple covering his face. I get that one.

I think being a shy artist, I like drawing, playing piano, dancing and singing in the shower. I think we all seek to express our emotions and setimientos, though no doubt some have more talent than others.

For me, as long as a person can create something beautiful—may it be music, a sculpture, poetry, or a painting—I consider that person artistic. Even cooking is a form of art. We are all artists for we are all capable of creating wonderful things. We just have different ways of expressing and appreciating art.

Yes I do. I draw from observation. I love music and love distinguishing the instruments. I love paintings. I love photographs. I make poems and write. I love high fashion.
    Definitely am an artist.

I think everyone's got a bit of artist in them. The ability to see beauty in ordinary things, or to find solace in a song are both artistic talents, and I think that art is really anything that moves you to feeling. Some people paint, others draw, lots of people make music.

However, some people's art forms are more hidden. Some people find the beauty in helping others, some people weave beautiful stories with extensive vocabularies, and some people are just able to live more vibrantly, with more passion than others, and isn't that art too?

I love music. I find that my illustrated art is impacted and inspired by music. I am working on a piece right now that involves a man and a woman who are in the beginning stages of dating. I listened to a couple of pieces of music that really are keeping me motivated to finish the piece. The only problem is that I need to pick the mood of the scene since all the songs have a different mood. :)

I consider myself as an artistic person because I love to draw and paint.Art is a part of my life since I was a little girl.I also joined a website where you can upload your drawings and put it on T-shirt.It is a website for printing T-shirt and you can sell it or buy it.There are many ways to become artistic not only by drawing or painting things. It is creating something that you like.

I think everyone's artistic in their own way. It just so happens that social norms get the most of us that our artistic nature fades away. We forget what it's like to be our true selves. There is a voice inside us that's keeping us from truly expressing ourselves. Oh, what's that? What does any of that have to do with art? Apparently, art is nothing more than your ability to express yourself. It's your ability to be your unique self.

I studied art and loved it! I studied oil painting, sculpture, the history of art and life drawing. History of art included things like the floor plan of cathedrals. Lovely!

When I was growing up, I used to sketch alot in black & white, and from there added painting in water colour when I was studying art. I think if it is in you already, you can only make it more specialized. Those days in the 70's we had no computers; everything was done freehand! So now more than ever I am specialized because I can draw & paint things that no computer can ~ the original!

I always wanted to create music piece, but never had enough courage to do it. For me, music is the most honest form of art. What you mean by saying that way musicians think scares you? That's such an interesting statement. I do find musicians so deep and creative so that's why I'm asking.
