I live in a country where politics is basically in every adult's mouth and this is like a disease which worsens during an election period. Most third world countries usually enter into internal wars and conflicts leading to loss of my lives. The world would be a better place if only peaceful elections were held in all countries.

The general elections in my country is dictated by political candidates with lots of influence, power and money. Bribery and corrupt practices is a norm during general elections. So in my opinion, elections in my country is worse.

I couldn't say election times are safe times in my country. We are approaching our election day in a few days and there is much tension in the country. The last elections brought so much chaos. Many people lost their lives and homes. I personally I'm praying that this coming elections will be peaceful. Citizens should be one despite their political opinions.

The past general elections came along with violence in my country. I personally think that politics bring division to a nation.

Politicians seem to steer up these divisions .Poor citizens without any thinking and consideration tend to take matters in their hands and fight against themselves. It is ironic that these politicians they fight and kill each other for dine and wine together in private.

My country is only a few days away from a General election. I hope there will be peace during and after the election since there were many disputes during the primaries. Voters and politicians alike tend to forget that elections aren't a do-or-die thing.

As being a citizen of a SUB CONTINENT and the worlds largest DEMOCRACY, I would say that its usually its safe. But some states close to the border are affected due to terrorist activities. These make them unsafe for the voters. But none the less the voting turn out has always been good. People have learnt to fight back fear with hope and courage. Seeing my contry men standing up against such terror organisations gives me immense pleasure and makes me proud of my mother land. INDIA

During the time of elections in my country there is alot of insecurity that goes on. It is usually there but at this time there is an increase due to tribalism which is a key factor of violence in my country. Tribalism has since been there and it has influenced primitive thinking when it comes to politics.
