I have studied in public schools all the way from kindergarten to university and I can't say that it has been easy. More often than not, the school's resources we're scarce, or in some instances, non-existent.
It is not all dark and gloomy, though. Learning in public schools has taught me not to rely on teachers to learn. Learning can take place even when teachers aren't giving you as much attention as they do in private schools. This has helped me to work on my own with little to no supervision and to increase my productivity in my work.
Learning in private schools has its advantages too. Students are usually fewer and this means that teachers can give more attention to each student.
What are your thoughts on this matter?

Go where your pocket can afford it. If you can afford to study in a private schools, then just go for it. If not, then I would say, go for public schools instead. Actually, it doesn't matter where you get your degree, for as long as you are competitive and skill wise. Though, there are really a gap between a public and private schools, what you take in mostly will depend upon your eagerness to learn and your ability to make it work.

But if I were to choose between public and private schools, I would definitely choose a public school. Since studying in a private school doesn't always guarantee you of landing a better job. And besides I will never want to cause any burden to my parents, who will certainly be paying the school fees.

In my opinion the teacher makes the difference, so if a school (no matters if it is public or private) has a good teacher the students will be very good.

Let me start by telling you that I personally rejected going to Private school doing my college days yet I out-performed all my mates then that were in the private schools.

off course, I want to agree that the teachers in the private schools tend to be more serious because of the strict supervision they get from the school owners unlike in the public schools. However, it does not automatically translate to producing better students.

So, I think the most important factor the students themselves and not necessarily the proprietorship of the school

Private schools and private schools is not a guarantee the best product being produced. It only depend on the kind of students. If they can adjust the kind of environment they had in.

Private schools or public schools is a non issue. The matter is, you get quality and affordable education. A doctor can asked whether he was from private or public school.

I have studied both in private and public school from K.G to my Intermediate. The biggest mistake which private schools do is that they increase their fee structure without giving any reasons. They just tease parents to pay high fee of their childs to continue their studies.Otherwise, they may struck off their childs from schools. That's why some parents refuse to send their childs in many private schools.

This is my honest opinion, most public school here in my country are low standard that's why I send my children to private school. Here are the advantage of sending your children in private school first, good education when I say good education it means the higher standard of education. Second, children from private school are fluent in English which is very important because English is the universal language plus the module of teaching in school is English except Filipino subject. Third, good foundation for the future and lastly, the quality of education.

My opinion is only base here in my country the Philippines, and I think it doesn't apply to other country.

Hi there. Before anything else I would like to say I salute everyone who has finished their studies whether at a public school or a private school. As a private student I must say that my school was really good. Its cafeteria gives cheap but delicious foods, our recess was twice as long like one hour and the subjects were fun as the teacher treats us nicely. I mean every teacher likes it peaceful (although sometimes when the teacher leaves the room some of my classmates start a fist fight in the middle of the room and throw each other against the lockers which I find so much fun), no fights and nothing harmful, they let us go to our homes early if we behave well of course that's in the last subject. It actually felt as if I was at a public school. I felt really easy and comfortable and never thought of moving on and my parents agreed that too.

Some people say that there are public schools where nobody cares about any of the crappy rules and I don't believe that. My little brothers are studying in public school and I think they are good and well behaved. They also have strict school rules like if they are not wearing the proper uniform or wearing the wrong socks they get a detention. Their teachers can't wear jeans too. Generally speaking, whether it’s public or private some schools are good and others are not.

Here in my country today, we are experiencing the new curriculum which is the K-12 curriculum. The government has its new system. They hire additional teachers and enables them to attend seminars or workshops to extend their knowledge. Well, it is good to have such skillful and productive teachers. So, the problem we are encountering now is that public schools didn't have books to supply to students. Books are the main problem. Our government said that they have budgets on books. But until now no books are released to public schools.

As of today that our government didn't yet released the books to our students. Meanwhile my decision is to go to private schools if you can afford. Its for future sake.

Private schools especially primary schools have the best teaching skills.I studied in a private primary school and I can proudly say it shaped my future. Most children who study in public primary schools end up in the poorest performing secondary schools because they did not receive quality level of education at the primary level.
Public primary schools teachers do not have time for children and most of them do not offer coaching lessons during saturdays. If a child is not shaped at a tender age they cannot be shaped when they are mature.
On the other hand public secondary schools are the best because if your child ends up in a public national school you are guaranteed that they will end up in the best universities and partake the best careers. This is because of the good performance depicted in national secondary schools

In my opinion, most private schools have good studying facilities than some public schools. One of the benefit of a private school is that they provide exceptional and challenging education experience.

In private school they focus on you as an individual on school work unlike public schools . Most private schools have small classes which enable teachers to help students with their weaknesses and strengthen them

It only matters when the standards of public schools are low. At a tender age when a child requires all the basics, I would opt for a private school if the public schools are not good enough and I can afford it.

Let me say that most important thing in school is discipline, when there is discipline in a school be it private or public there is a high chance of any student to excel because the determinant of success is discipline.so i think if the school is well managed that means that discipline will be high and thus good results.
