So far am a fan of wrestling when I was younger and with what am seeing presently at wrestling, I can confidently say that it's acted. Their blows and kicks doesn't have any impact on their victims and they will pretentiously fall down. All I can say is that wrestling is acted.

What do you think about present Wrestling?.

    Hello Zebis.

It is not exasperating that you view wrestling as acting for one reason above all other reasons: You're correct! This is verified by none other than Mr. Vince McMahon himself. He loves to tell the story of how Ted Turner contacted him to tell Vince that the already wealthy Ted was newly entering into the "wrestling" business; Vince would say "That's good; I'm in the "entertainment" business."

Hence, we have the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) as the number one watched and attended wrestling program anywhere in the world (though it's not the only one). The wrestlers are trained how to block punches and self-inflict wounds in order to cause themselves to bleed. By focusing on this entertainment aspect of the venue, Vince has surpassed in viewer ratings those that focus on the wrestling aspect of the field. Wrestling is acting, yet, we have to admit that is some of the best acting the world has ever known.

Maybe I would say it's real. I have been watching wrestling when I was just a kid with my Father. I cannot say however that is acted since wrestlers had been kicked and hurt in reality to the point thay they shed blood. Same question goes to boxing. We, the watchers cannot pin-point that they are acting it. Admit it or not, aside from the fact that it is a business platform, contenders not only want the money but also the title they will gain of winning the prize.

wresting is just an entertainment not real, most wrestlers take time to practise the tactics they use when they fight so that they can execute them safely.

When people kiss in movies would you say its real or fake, the truth is it is both, same for wresting it's a real fight but for entertainment and fake because the winner is always determined before the match by the management

For me watching wrestling is just like watching another movie, they are acting but you enjoyed it.

That makes a lot of sense, the way you put it. When i was younger I thought it was real, and later trashed it as completely fake. But now i get why it is so hard for me to actually see a fake move, because they practice their moves. And yes I also believe that it is all script ,the winner being pre determined before the show.

Have you ever heard anything about match fixing ? now the question you should ask yourself is does the 2 teams in a fixed match play real football or fake football, am sure you already have answers to the question, and that's just what pro wrestling is about, just as a football match can be fixed in which the winner is already known but this doesn't stop the two teams from actually playing real football, that is just the same thing with wrestling, they actually wrestle with each other but like all fixed matches, the winner is already decided prior to the match. I am sure you have the right answer to your question now.

While there are scripts and a performance and always a known winner, loser - face or heal, the physical aspect of this line of work is why it's still called a sport. These athletes train their bodies many hours a day. They heal their bodies after shows - which when on the road, can last nightly for 90 or more nights in a row. Many of these talented folks travel and wrestle more than 300 days a year.

Getting thrown around, stomping, grappling, lifting, flipping - all of these are the same wrestling moves that you might think of from an old school gym class. The added entertainment of the sport that WWE capitalized on is the human factor. Society and it's twisted collective mind. The part that some people see as fake is actually created to prolong the match and for pure entertainment. Wrastlers also spend hours in their days learning lines, finding cues, finding where to best cut themselves so the blood will spew just right... it's an art.

Label it whatever you want, but those muscles are real. The pain, sweat and blood is real. The glory of entertainment wrestling is real. :)

Agreed. A script is followed but only real professionals can pull it off.

It is a very difficult craft. Wrestling is shown live and there cannot be cuts and take-twos. Sometimes injuries are sustained. Deaths from stunts has occurred several times.

For me, wrestling is theater with amazing actors.

I have come to develop hatred and dislike on wrestling of late, which was my best tv show when I was in high school, then, I would save my cab fare and my lunch money just to buy a current wrestling DVD plate to watch on weekend.

My doubt on it arises when I began asking questions about its reality, but, I couldn't get any convincing answers about the cheats, like beating up the referrers, distorting peoples fight, two or more wrestlers beating up a wrestler in the wrestling ring and in the dressing room and other magic they perform on the ring such as using dangerous weapons on each other without sustaining serious injuries, and other uncontrolled actions of the wrestlers and wrestling management especially in WWE.

Despite all these, the crowd and fans that troops in, to the wrestling stadium to watch it amaze me but my stand on it remains unchanged, that wrestling is an act

Everything in WWE and other wrestling shows is scripted. It was confirmed on an interview with a director of one of the top shows. He said that it's mainly for entertainment purposes and nothing we see is real. I think it's better that way because it keeps the show alive and there are no fatalities and still, people get to enjoy.

I remember when I was a kid I used to watch wrestling a lot. I love Hulk Hogan and Undertaker, they're my favorite wrestlers. I enjoyed watching wrestling before it was really entertaining. That time I didn't have any ideas if it's fake or not because I'm only a child. I thought it was really real, those kicks and punches I was kind of real to me. My parents were also enjoying watching wrestling. They didn't even bother explaining that it wasn't real. They didn't care because it was our bonding moment. It was so surreal when we're watching wrestling. When Hulk Hogan doing his things in his ears we got crazy all the time, he's going to fight until the end. Undertaker was my most nightmare childhood. I got terrified when he showed up especially when he got up in the coffin.

Those memories are still vivid to me until now. Whenever my family talks about wrestling before we're kind of laughing because we thought it was real. We're debating if it's not real or not. I came to my senses that it was so unreal. How come there's no blood? They didn't get injured whenever they fight, they got to jump but still no one got injured. We're laughing so hard because we got punked by the show. But we never regret watching wrestling because it's part of my childhood. Those memories are worth treasuring forever. Without wrestling mania, I wouldn't have the chance to get bonded with my family. Whether it's fake or not, the important is they entertained a lot of people.
