In my own area it costs the same to consume prepared or organic. Some may say that eating healthy is expensive therefore I do a test. In my own area you can get a gallon of drinking water for $.89 but a 2 liter of pop is $1.00. A premade salad from a restaurant operates up to $7.00 nevertheless, you can get romaine lettuce salad mix for $2.00 for pound, a complete cucumber for a $1.00, and two 4oz poultry chest for $3.99 and you may eat 2 or even more salads for about the same price. Do you consider it is more costly to consume healthy?

In my opinion an unhealthy diet will cost much more in the future than a healthy one. An unhealthy diet leads to health problems which means eventually you may need prescription medication to fix the unhealthy problems created by an unhealthy diet. More doctors visits and prescription that are ridiculously expensive. Also, what's the price of living a better quality of life? When consuming a healthier diet you tend to have more energy, vitality and stamina.

For me, I'd rather pay the extra $1.25 per bag of organic spinach vs. the $.99 bag of potato chips that do nothing but pacify my cravings until eventually a problem arises and my doctor telling me to lay off them anyway.

Given the fact that more and more people have become health conscious, this has led to the rise in prices of healthy food especially organic food. In my area a kg of tomatoes costs $3.00 and a loaf of wholewheat bread $1.50 Whilst a kg of grass fed beef costs $9.50.

Given that a healthy diet is pricey but when one thinks of the costs associated with an unhealthy one, one can only try their best to eat healthy because many a times you will end up forking out more than the money that you were trying to save. In order to cut costs, one can have their own garden at home for vegetables, spices and herbs. If space is not available one can always grow vegetables, herbs and spices in vases.

Well this is actually depends on where you lived. Some places are different from the cost of living you have in your area. This is because some places needs to import those supplies they have and some produces their own, if not it just came from the nearest farms. In marketing term this will varies from the supply and demand of the areas. But in practicality and from a personal point of view living healthy than not is more cheap in the future because it will prevent you from spending so much money to those expensive medications that you will get from eating unhealthy foods.
