African music has really grown.Listen to any radio station and you won't miss an African jam.Mafikizolo of South Africa,Uhuru,Jaguar and Elani from Kenya,Yemi Alade,Sauti Sol.

I like the fact that it has maintained its roots. There however are a few misguided artists who try to emulate western music.

I don't really know that much about african music, although I've heard a couple of songs by WizKid, a nigerian artist who makes afrobeat tracks. Recently this genre (afrobeat) has expanded to the UK and some artists like J Hus are quite influenced by this sound.

African music is one of the best music one can listen to. It has good beats and also it has a variety of genres for example bongo, Rnb,reggae, dancehalls and much more. If you are new to African music I would advise you to listen to artists like diamond, sautisol and Avril

African music comes in it's own unique style and class, and the new generations of African talents in music are doing a marvelous job by modifying it to blend with the modern day society, while still profoundly maintaining the originality in the African culture with the message in their music. I also give my maximum respect to all the great hardworking African artists that have added so much prestige to African image through music. Big guns like Youssou Ndour, Tuface Idibia, Salif Keita, Mariam Makeba, Anglique Kidjo, Fela Kuti, and so on.

I really like the songs of singer Dr. Alban. I have several albums of him on my computer and I'm always listening.
My favorite songs of this singer are:

    • Sing Hallelujah
    • Look Who's Talking
    • This Time I'm Free
    • Let The Beat Go On
    • Chiki Chiki
    • Fire
    • Sweet little girl
    • No Coke
    • Hard Pan Di Drums
    • Home Sweet Home
    • Hello Africa
    • Go See The Dentist
    • Gimme Dat Loven
    • Born In Africa
    • Because of you
    • Loverboy
    • Mr. DJ
    • Awilla Willa Willa Hey
    • One Love
