Bats

As we know bats are flying mammals that live on the land.They are the second order of mammals after rodents. They are present on the whole word apart from the extremely cold places like Arctic regions.
Flight has enabled bats become one of the most widely distributed group of mammals.Most bats are nocturnal at active at twilight.
Most bats are primarily carnivores feeding on vertebrates like lizards and birds.Besides they are reservoirs of large number of zootonic pathogens including rabbies.
Under right conditions, a bat can live 20 years in the wild.But then, in European culture, bats have been associated with witchcraft, black magic and darkness.Whether this is a fact or myth, no one knows.
