In the 18th Century, most African countries were colonized by Europeans. Those colonizers brought with them their way of life to Africa. Some of what they brought were good some of it was bad, for instance, the British in the East African Protectorate were more heavy-handed when dealing with Africans, they stole their land, enslaved the Africans in their own land, they were quick to torture or even kill any African leader that dared arise to challenge what the British stood for on the other hand the French who occupied the West African countries were more reasonable instead of using force to convert Africans they offered privileges to those who complied to assimilate.Among the privileges were granting full French citizenship to Africans who complied, these Africans were to be treated equally as the French.

Are you of the opinion that the colonizers brought more good to Africa or do you feel that they brought more vices.

I think Walter Rodney made it clear in his book 'How Europe Underdeveloped Africa'. The presence of Europeans in Africa brought more destructions than good. Africa might be in a different level right now.
