Discuss your thoughts on the current national preoccupation with reality TV
shows. In what ways are they used to represent or reinforce gender, racial, or economic stereotypes

Honestly, I really don't watch them on a consistent basis. I have watch some of the earlier shows, but in recent years it seems the people do more than needed to get other people to watch. Some of the drama represents real life situations, but others are too over the top, especially when it comes to certain ethnicities, who are expected to be that way.

I do like to watch the Dancing Dolls show, as my grand daughter was on a dancing and cheering team too. I also watch American Idol sometimes, I'm not sure if that's considered a reality show, but it should be.
