DC vs Marvel: The Battle of Fanboys

In my opinion, the correct answer here would be that DC is much better than Marvel when it comes to pretty much anything but movies, but movies are one thing that DC comes nowhere near Marvel.

Marvel has perfected the art of movies. The slow introduction to the characters through standalone movies and then doing crossovers and eventually meeting the grand villian: Marvel did this slowly and marvelously. I can't believe DC screwed up so much with such high character potential with the greatest superheroes that everyone knows like Batman and Superman.

However, when it comes to comics and everything else (but movies), DC is way ahead of Marvel. The characters are much more complex, the storylines are better, and the dark tone is just perfect. Initially everyone thought that with DC Extended Universe, DC will surpass Marvel (which has Marvel Cinematic Universe). But oh boy did bad directing and writing screw up what could be the best superhero movie series.

One thing people forget with topics like this these days is that movies are NOT everything. Sure, movies are much more famous that comics these days but comics are the original work. Marvel is good there too, but DC is just way better. DC characters are one of the best of all time.
