A blog should always include some sort of graphic. Even if it's a vlog, you should have a thumbnail created especially for it and not use just any screenshot from your video.

I prefer Photoshop, but when I'm not at home or on my Photoshop computer, I like to use PicMonkey. You'll find that the free version of PicMonkey has a lot of features. You can create or edit your image to get it to look how you want for your need. There are features that are premium features, but I still haven't had the needs to use those.

There is also Canva. I don't use it much, but when I do I use it to create images with text (such as quotes, titles, sales, etc). Personally, I don't find it as user-friendly as PicMonkey, but I like how they have formatted text templates already set up (something that PicMonkey doesn't have).

Are there any other online graphic creators that you have used? Which do you prefer and why?

I do use PicMonkey occasionally and you're right - the free version has plenty of options for my needs. I have Canva bookmarked but have yet to find time to really learn the program. That's something I do intend on doing in the near future as I've seen some amazing graphics created there by non-designers.

I use a bunch of online graphic creators and generators. Each does something a little different from the others so I like having all of them in my toolbox. Some do only one thing while others allow you to create a bunch of different types of graphics. Here's a few of the ones I have saved:

Many filmmakers have pushed for the advancement of technology with their demands for special effects. Take the example of Peter Jackson, director of The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Various scenes from those movies would not be possible without the use of the online computer graphics. Yet with all these realistic monsters, horrifying explosions, and tremendous battle scenes, a movie goer should still be treated to a good story.

I don't know anything about PicMonkey but I recommend Adobe Photoshop Express, this product from Adobe is a Flash-based image editing web and mobile application from Adobe used to directly edit photos on blogs and social networking sites, so that users do not have to download or upload images. Similar to Picnik, the application currently works with a lot of used sites like Facebook, Picasa, etc.

Lightroom is ok for me for home, but for professional picture editing you're still better off with adobe Elements and macphun tools (im mac user)
