Traditionally, a fine-art oil painting would be rendered on a stretched canvas and could sell for thousands of dollars. Would you be willing to pay an equal amount of money for a fine-art oil painting painted on reclaimed wood from a deconstructed barn?

Recycled materials in art is nothing new, but with more people becoming aware of the state of our planet and the need to recycle whenever possible, the use of reclaimed materials is becoming a more popular trend. I personally have completed and sold multiple pieces that used old dresser drawers and cabinet doors as their canvases.

Do you think art is still able to be considered fine-art if recycled media are used?
