Should we allow children under 18 to use internet alone?

Day by day we see that the need of the internet is getting bigger and bigger. All of the things now can be done by the internet while sitting home. Wheater paying bills or earning money, you can do everything on the internet. On the other side, we have some bad news and reports about the internet like some teenager gets caught in illegal activities, someone gave all his personal info to a stranger on social media etc.

When we do make a comparison between the merits and demerits of the internet, we come to know the there are more benefits of the internet. But the question arises what about kids under 18? They are not so much mature to know the good and bad properly and they don't know they can be tricked easily by anyone. Will you allow your child who is under 18 to use the internet without having your assistance?

 

The key word here is supervision. Allowing children to use the internet unsupervised in this age of moral decadence will surely result in a disaster. There are so many immoral and phonographic sites on the internet which can develop social vices in children.
Children being who they are very curious and adventurous. Their curiosity if not checked or supervised while using the internet will surely lead them to these sites and the result of this will be very unpleasant.

 

I think adult supervision is needed for children under 12. I don't think we can control or supervise them till the age of 18. It is very difficult. I don't like the habit of giving mobile phones or tablets with internet access to kids under 6.

 

I am totally against to give permission to our children to use mobile phones.But when it comes the question to give them mobile to use in soltitude?then my answer will be always "NO".I think so that internet is just distracting our children from right path.When they use cell phones alone, there is possibility that they may open adult sites which are not good for them in any reason.The children who are under 18 usually tend to open some immoral sites which should be banned for them.These sites are just destroying the youth in a bad way and forcing them to do evil deeds.

 

Children should be monitored and supervised while using the internet because the internet now is dangerous to kids to browse alone. There are websites that are prohibited and has pornography in it so its dangerous to our kids. We should also check who are their friends are and what they are posing in social medias like facebook is not appropriate. In our time now, evil doers also go online so we must always check what the kids are doing online. Never allow them to use the internet alone where you can not see them.

 

Children should always be monitored during their usage of the Internet, regardless of how much we might believe that they have matured and are well aware of the dangers and threats of life, at the end of the day they are still children and they lack experience, which can lead to their downfall, now even more than ever, with the presence of several websites that encourage the consumption of pornography as well as the practice of several dangerous and devious methods.

 

Children should not be having a total access to internet. There are so many things going on nowadays and letting them use Internet alone could have negative impacts on their education.

 

We shouldn't allow children under the age of 18 years to surf the internet all alone without being monitored. The internet is full of contents that can initiate negative imagination or thoughts into the minds of little children. The risk is that affected children may never get disconnected from this once they are initiated. Children may be forced to practise those things they see and that can eventually jeopardize their future without remedies.

Due to anxiety, children can get influenced by friends and attempt internet fraud and money laundering. These are highly implicating and frustrating. The future is at stake and terrible repercussion is awaiting. The internet is better accessed by mature minds who understand the negative effects of getting involved in those things.

 

allowing a child under the age of 18 to access the internet is causing doubt in the parents. things that can be done there are 2 that we can first leave alone but by installing a program or software that can block content that is not suitable for that age. the second we can accompany and remind them to open up positive things
