Our planet Earth boasts of being the only planet in our entire milky way galaxy that hosts life.Space agencies have ignited the quest to find other planets like Earth and ascertain if they host life too.Since Kepler space telescope was launched, space exploration has made significant strides.

Kepler space telescope has led us to the discovery of millions and millions of other planets that exists. So far,Kepler has discovered many planets that harbour the same characteristics such as Earth. This has ignited the urge to be able to tour those planets and find more about their composition and if they indeed support life.Touring those planets right now is far from reality because they are outside our galaxy. They are situated far away, some hundreds of thousands of light years away from us.

We need more sophisticated engineered spacecrafts to reach them.Various tests are being run to find a suitable propulsion agent and unmanned spacecrafts that will facilitate the exploration of those planets.

Well, is true. We still do not have those mind-boggling technologies to travel to outer limits of our universe. But there are certain breakthroughs. NASA has found numerous earth-like planets and they are theorized to harbor life. But theories are still theories. We will not know the ultimate answer until we visit these planets.

They've found life on places other than Earth, they are just reluctant to admit it. There have been microbes found in low orbit and the upper atmosphere that are very unlikely to have come from the ground. There were microbe fossils found on mars and, allegedly, the moon as well. It is even reported that some tests came back positive for live microbes on mars, but they have brought that into debate due to the possibility of contamination from Earth. So far, the signs point only to microbes but where there are cells, there is evolution.
