    The question ‘ What are your ambitions in life?’ is one that is frequently asked. A question that most give their answer as 'To be happy ‘. A recent survey conducted on 10,000 people hailing form 48 countries found its way to the pages of the perspectives on psychological science . The survey showed that this mass of people valued and wished for happiness as opposed to wisdom, maturity, success, intelligence and wealth.

    True happiness is priceless. But true is the fact that focusing a lot on what we see as that which can make us happy makes us lose sight of that which can.

    Nearly decade ago Alan Krueger, an economist, Laureate Daniel Kahneman ,who Is a Nobel prize winner and their colleagues published a paper by the name 'Are we having more fun yet? . They posed several questions through this paper . Questions such as; ‘Has the quality of our lives over the past ten years been changed by the myriad social, economical and technological advancements' and 'Have this advancements helped us improve our lives by helping us focus more about what we care about?’

    Most of us would have answered this question no. A very large amount of the American population spends 20% of their time doing what they actually love to do. Instead they spend most of their time doing what they have to do example, working and performing house chores.

    It really have to be like this. We should do that which makes us happy.

    I have found out happiness lies in our ability to cultivate, practice and actually be curious. This is because it is through curiosity that we are introduced to some of new and thrilling experiences. It is through this experiences that we get to experience true joy and happiness in life.

    Curiosity is a trait that can be cultivated and inculcated in our daily lives. We can harnesses the curiosity in us through practice.

    Curiosity is of multitudinous benefits to us . Below is a list of some of them;

    A curious person is abounding in health. Curiosity strings along a number of positives outcomes. Research conducted on a number of people showed that those with a heightened sense of curiosity are likely to suffer from hypertension and other forms of illness.

    Curious people are intelligent people. Curiosity is linked closely to intelligence. Kids who are curious are termed as intelligent. People who are curious also record high problem solving abilities.

    Curious people develop social relationships easier. They ask questions and are more curious about the people that they interact with. They keep enquiring about the lives of those they talk to. This helps them develop tight camaraderie and acquaintances.

    Curious people are generally more happy. Their curiosity leads them to discover that which is fulfilling in life and that which brings them joy. This curiosity opens them to new and fulfilling joys in life . This curiosity helps them to always be in pursuit of that which they term as their destinies and sourc

    e and joy.
