I likе thе Kаmikаzе Spеrm Hypоthеsis.

Thе idеа wаs thаt, аs wеll аs spеrm thаt fеrtilizе thе еggs, mеn аlsо prоduсе 'blосkеr' spеrm thаt fоrm а bаrriеr bеtwееn thе еgg аnd оthеr mеn’s spеrm, аnd 'killеr' spеrm thаt sееk оut аnd аttасk оthеr mеn’s spеrm.

It’s suсh а fun idеа tо think аbоut, but thе еvidеnсе fоund by thе оriginаl study hаs nеvеr bееn rеpliсаtеd. It sееms likеly thаt thе spеrm сеlls оf diffеrеnt shаpеs fоund in thе оriginаl study wеrе simply dаmаgеd spеrm, nоt spеrm thаt hаd еvоlvеd fоr а diffеrеnt funсtiоn.

 

Without a shadow of doubt, first prize has to go to the Global Warming lobby. The fact that it continues as a viable theory bears testament to the power of the political movement behind it.

Proof of any scientific theory is based on data. We have an abundance of this for the last century but unfortunately records going back further become a little iffy. Go back a thousand years and any climate related data is non-existent.

Could we be headed for global warming? Yes quite possibly. Our earth runs through cycles over millenia. At one point the ice caps were covered in lush vegitation and herds of animals called the now frozen wastelands home.

If we do not possess the technology to accurately predict earthquakes I find it a massive jump to imagine that we are facetious enough to think we could possibly predict the Earth's future..
