Anime often covers more serious topics than the typical cartoon. In America, cartoons are considered a form of entertainment meant for children. In Japan, people of all ages watch anime. Most shows and movies are centered for kids, adolescents, or young adults, but there are also many anime that are made for the older crowd, evenbusinessmen. There are many genres in anime with basic categories like comedy, romance, action, drama, and pornography.

So Is there an anime that you feel closer to your heart than any other?

I would say for me it would have to be Shakugan no Shana. The story just appeals to me and so do the characters. And there is just so much to the story and everything.

I could never bring myself to hate it or anything like that and i love it with all my heart. :)

Shakugan no Shana is one of my favorites, too. The one series that I absolutely love is Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. The combination of story and characters is wonderful, and I love how they develop as the series continues. I was really surprised that I enjoyed it as much as I did, because I really didn't care for the first Fullmetal Alchemist anime series. I think the difference between the two was that Brotherhood followed the story of the manga a lot more closely. The plot seemed a lot more cohesive than the plot of the first series was.

My absolute favorite has to Deathnote. It only lasts 36 episodes but the overall theme of the anime is most definitely gripping. It has one of the best plots of all time and the soundtrack completely goes with the anime. I think the highlight of this anime has to be the characterization. Even now, the most famous characters in anime are "L" and "Kira", both of them belonging to this anime.

    6) The Little Mermaid

My favorite anime of all time is Naruto. This anime is one of the most popular ones and justifies it entirely. It has one of the best characterizations in any show and you could very well relate to the emotions of all the characters. The battle sequences are top notch. Did I mention about the soundtrack? It very well complements the theme of the anime. It shines in every aspect. The dialogues are also very powerful and I've found myself in tears in many scenes.

I would also give a special mention to Code Geass. This anime is just sheer class. It has one of the best plots of all time and the storyline is well constructed. The anime moves in a very swift pace and it is easy to follow.

For me, I think it's "Ghost in the Shell". It's a mix of technology and action. I really like this anime because it's full of action and not to mention the episodes where there are some pictures of nudity. I also watched the anime entitled "One Piece" and it is one my favourite anime also. It has a lot of episodes and some of the episodes is just a filler which makes it boring but still I like this anime.

    Gurren Lagan.
It wasn't my first anime but it was the first anime that made me cry. This anime made me experience a range of emotion : happiness, sadness and extreme level of hype. The character is very entertaining, beautiful animation and pure manliness. And the ending, as painful as it was, is probably my pick for best ending.

There are many more in my list such as, One Piece, Naruto, Bleach and Slam Dunk.

Although it may seem childish, my favorite anime is One Piece. Aside from the goofy jokes and situations and the sheer amount of ridiculous characters/abilities, I think one of its prominent themes of friendship really connects to me. After going from not having any friends at all to a handful of really good friends, I can appreciate the bonds that the Straw Hats have.

My favorite anime is The Fullmetal Alchemist, but I don't count that. It's also my favorite manga and from the three interpretations, I like the manga more. I've seen both Fullmetal Alchemist animes and I enjoyed watching them, but I loved reading the manga.

So my favorite in anime category is Mushishi. The manga and anime versions of this story are comparable and anime comes with that nice sountrack.

For right now my favorite anime is a toss up between Naruto, Bleach and Blue Exorcist. I really like these three the best. I like other anime over time like Princess Knight, Hunter Hunter is another good one too. It's so difficult just to choose one for as time goes on new ones comes out like Space Cowboy that I like or Inu Yasha too that I miss and liked very much. So with the anime that's on now if I had to choose one it'll be Naruto.

I'm still quite new to the Anime world, but out of the few I have seen, so far my favorite has to be hands-down Fairy Tail. I just got hooked on it from the first episode and have been loving it ever since. The stories, the characters, the feels, it just all touches my heart in a weird way that I can't explain. It's made me laugh and cry and cringe. I can confidently say that I don't regret my decision of watching this Anime (and funnily enough, I was told about this show by someone who hates it).

March comes in like a lion, an anime released in the fall of 2016, has become one of my absolute favorites. It depicts the struggles of a 17 year old professional shogi player and his dysfunctional interaction with the world around him. Apart from the fact that it is a slice of life anime (one of my favorite genres), the animation and overall execution by Studio Shaft is simply flawless. The show is an emotional roller coaster and provides a fresh perspective into the true meaning of success and what it entails.

It's very hard for me to pick one anime as I have many personal favorites. However, I would pick Code Geass: Lelouch the Rebellion as my favorite anime of all time.

I am a mecha genre fan, but I must say that Code Geass really impressed me with a stunning story line. The characters in the anime were well-developed and contributed to the impressive story.

Additionally, Code Geass also has an excellent soundtrack. The anime is definitely intense and mind boggling. I would recommend it as a must watch anime for those who are new to anime.
