If I recall correctly you manually allowed a longer rule list for my forum (Outlaw Star Nexus) but it seems you've updated the code on your edit page to check character counts more thoroughly. Before it didn't check my rules so there wasn't a problem. Now I can't edit my forum settings because it doesn't allow me to proceed as my forum rules exceed the character limit.

Any solutions? Of course I don't want to shorten the rules. They're there for a reason, and are something I point a handful of newcomers to who don't seem to read them in the first place.

Hi Mantis! Thank you for contacting us. I extended the character limit to 5,000. Let me know if it works now.

Tried again, and with a hard refresh too and it says it won't update because of a 2500 limit in the Rules field.

Are you editing your current listing or posting a new one?

It's my current site. I'm just enabling new subs and setting the minimum to 4.1, but I get the 2500 limit error for Rules.

How many characters does the rules section have?

According to a character count site, 1102. Interesting.

Same error but 5000 characters. Maybe these checks aren't applying to my listing because you had manually edited it in the past. Just a thought.

Nothing. Couldn't you do it manually from your end?

There is no text and it's literally inside this thread, post #5. Should I forward the post to you via PM?

Ah, my bad. I just enabled new subscriptions and set the minimum rating to 4.1.

Not sure, I did notice the Lorem Ipsum text when I went in to edit the two properties.

    Do you have another copy?

If not, I'm opening a table backup now to see if I can retrieve it.

I didn't save a copy of this, so that would help.

Hey Mantis, sorry for the delay. I had to run through a few different backups to find it. It should be showing up correctly now.
