I would like to suggest that you add an invite section.

normally, if I want to invite someone that may not meet the requirement ratings, then I would contact that person and ask if they would be interested in subscribing to the forum, then I would have to manually lower the rating so they can subscribe, then I have to manually raise the rating limits again...

What I propose that you add a section box where forum owners can add a username to the invite box, and this would bypass min rating requirements, and if I wanted to remove the member from the forum, then I would just remove their username from the invite box, click save, then ban the user from the forum, boom, done.

This would make it easier for the forum owner, as they would not have to manually lower/raise rating limits.

That is actually a great suggestion! The rating requirement can sometimes be troublesome since it doesn't always reflect writing skills accurately. I'll see if I can put something together this weekend.

sure. I have seen a couple writers that have 3.4 rating, and their content would be acceptable, however, they would not be able to join since I have a rating requirement of 4, and I think it would just be easier to add their name, send an invite, then all they would have to do is subscribe.

another idea on top of that would make it so that the writer can request an invite if they do not qualify, and if the forum owner wants to allow them in the door, then the forum owner just has to add the writer to the invite list which would overwrite their rating limitations.

so this would be like a two-step process.

1: one for the forum owner to invite a writer.
2: one for a writer to request an invite to the forum.

Another idea would be to add an option to give certain writers access to write up and beyond minimum post counts.

The new invite feature is almost complete! Invites can be sent by forum owners but the ability to accept them on the writer's end is still under construction. Will keep you guys posted.

The first and main half of the invite feature is now complete! Forum owners can invite writers as a way to bypass the rating requirement. This invite will show up in My Dashboard for the writer to be either accepted or denied. A more detailed guide will be posted shortly...
