Gateway Account Confirmation Email Problem.

    I have referred a couple of my friends to TFW. They seem to be having the same problem, which is that they are not receiving a confirmation email for their gateway account. After completing their ten posts, they cannot get a rating because they are unable to link their gateway and dashboard.

    Sometimes, it helps to walk your friends through the process, so they understand each step. New people should be subscribing to the Gateway BEFORE they make their 10 trial posts.
    Be sure to have them read all of the instructions that are in the little green box at the top right hand corner of the main page of the Gateway forum, and to do every step in the exact order that it is supposed to be done.
    This way, the whole application process can go smoothly, and once they have made the 10 posts, it will automatically submit the posts for rating.

    If someone has not properly followed the instructions and subscribed, then the Gateway will not show on their dashboard as a subscribed forum, and they should not make ANY posts until they are properly subscribed and Gateway Forum shows on their dashboard list of subscribed forums.

    Thanks for the insight Happyflowerlady. As per my knowledge, you have to manually subscribe to the gateway. To do this, you have to click on the confirmation email that is sent once you have created an account on the gateway.

    What should they do when they don't receive the confirmation email?

    The first thing they should do is read back through the little green box with the instructions and be certain that they have exactly followed each step correctly.
    If everything was done properly, then they will need to message @KenBrace directly and he can validate the email himself.
    Once that step is done, then they should proceed with making their 10 trial posts.
    Be sure to explain to your friends that the rating that they receive will determine how many forums they will be eligible to subscribe to; so they should be sure to read the Guide to Quality Writing before making the trial posts, and also be sure to use good spelling, grammar and punctuation, as well as uploading an avatar.
