Is there a way to turn off the sound

    I don't want to turn my volume down/off, because I have other sites that issue alerts. I just want to turn the sound off on Languavel. That constant "whoosh" thing or w/e it is.

    If you have chrome, just right click on the tab and click Mute

    That only works if you don't have any other audio alerts you actually do need to hear
