Realizing that every human being has a threshold and breaking point, it varies from one person to the next. What if you can no longer control your emotions and feel like you are at your wits end? What if you feel like you just can't handle anymore stress? What if you are no longer able to deal with a certain situation and truly fear for your future?
Please share some insight on how you deal with pressure and the everyday stresses of life.

I found out sometime ago that a hobby really relieves stress. I play guitar during my free and it has really helped me cope with everyday problems by providing me with a channel for venting my frustrations.
Also, reading a book can do wonders for people with stress. It acts as a distraction and makes you forget that you are under stress.
I also ventured into philosophy. Philosophy can be used as a sort of mental self-defence if you are usually under stressful situations.
All the best in your quest for a stress-free life!

Kindly notice that to cope with stress, the following should be considered:
    1. Tell friends and family you are feeling overwhelmed, and let the know how they can help you. Also, talk to physician for professional assistance.
    2. Put your stress in perspective: is it really as bad as you think?
    3. Do make efforts to replace negative thoughts with positive ones
    4. Do exercise which can help you feel good and maintain your health
    5. When stressed, sleep and rest. It is very important to get 8 hours of sleep per night
    6. Do not skip any meals and always keep healthy, energy-boosting snacks on hand
    7. Do listen to music

There are so many ways to cope with stress. I usually go gym for exercise, go for a walk, stroll at the park and listen to my favorite songs. It's very important for me because my work has a lot of stress. Instead of ordering food on my work place, I rather go for a walk out of the office. It makes me feel great to get some fresh air and watch the beautiful sky. On my days off, I go gym to exercise for an hour or stroll at the park. When I feel lazy, I listen to my favorite songs on my phone.

Feeling emotional and nervous or having trouble sleeping and eating can all be normal reactions to stress.

You can put problems into perspective by finding healthy ways to cope. Getting the right care and support can help reduce stressful feelings and symptoms.

Talk to others. Share your problems and how you are feeling and coping with a parent, friend, counselor, doctor, or pastors.

Eliminate artificial stress reducers, like alcohol or smoking which are detrimental to our health and beauty and only temporarily alleviate our stress symptoms without treating the cause. These may seem to help with the stress. But in the long run, they create additional problems and increase the stress you are already feeling.

Take a break. If news events are causing your stress, take a break from listening or watching the news.

Think positive. For each negative thought you have, try to counter it with something positive. Always look for that silver lining.

Make time for yourself. You have to be on top of your priority list. Attend to your own needs first. Once they are met you will find that you may have more time for others. You may find more pleasure in helping others when you don't feel that you must always put others’ needs before your own.

Stress can be dealt with in different ways depending on what you dealing with. But going out in the nature, listening to music, spending time with friends and exercise are good ways to cope with stress. However, if all these are not working, then its better to see a Psychologist.

There's a peculiar fact about stress which I want to share it with you. We ourselves are responsible for creating it. We often point our finger towards others or else accuse external factors of the same. In the first place, I acknowledge with this fact and come to terms with it that I am the one who generated it and thus I can easily terminate it. No matter how strong I put in my efforts to get rid of it, I will run aground in all my ventures if I don't agree with it. Side by side, I figure out the underlying cause. I try to figure out what is brainstorming it or triggering it in me and abolish the stimulation.

I most assuredly catch on my inadequacies and shortcomings. I know what all I can control and what isn't in my control. I worry less about such belongings or issues which aren't really under my authority. I distract myself comprehensively with all such activities which make me roll down the aisle and intrigue me. Stress is inevitable at least in today's era. Instead of reacting like a victim, I choose to stand firmly in front of it and in no time I can see it bowing down in front of me.

When I am stressed, I have different ways of coping with it. I am the kind of a person who cannot ignore stress. If I ignore stress, either way it will get back to me and I will not have peace.

I usually take time and visit my trusted friends, whereby I share with them what I am going through. This works well for me because, when I share my problems, it makes me feel relieved. Sleeping is also another thing that I do when am stressed. It makes me forget the issues for a while. I do cry too which makes me feel relieved.

    Stress is part of life and everybody goes through it in one point of their life,but you can deal with it only if you have a positive mind of doing the following;

Take a break from the stressor
. It may seem difficult to get away from a big work project, a crying baby or a growing credit card bill. But when you give yourself permission to step away from it, you let yourself have time to do something else, which can help you have a new perspective or practice techniques to feel less overwhelmed. It’s important to not avoid your stress (those bills have to be paid sometime), but even just 20-minutes to take care of yourself is helpful.

Exercise. The research keeps growing — exercise benefits your mind just as well as your body. We keep hearing about the long-term benefits of a regular exercise routine. But even a 20-minute walk, run, swim or dance session in the midst of a stressful time can give an immediate effect that can last for several hours.

Smile and laugh. Our brains are interconnected with our emotions and facial expressions. When people are stressed, they often hold a lot of the stress in their face. So laughs or smiles can help relieve some of that tension and improve the situation.

Get social support. Call a friend, send an email. When you share your concerns or feelings with another person, it does help relieve stress. But it’s important that the person whom you talk to is someone whom you trust and whom you feel can understand and validate you. If your family is a stressor, for example, it may not alleviate your stress if you share your works woes with one of them.

Meditate. Meditation and mindful prayer help the mind and body to relax and focus. Mindfulness can help people see new perspectives, develop self-compassion and forgiveness. When practicing a form of mindfulness, people can release emotions that may have been causing the body physical stress. Much like exercise, research has shown that even meditating briefly can reap immediate benefits.

I have experienced stress and its a killer. I tried every method but came out with failure. One day I realized that the stress I am facing is a product of my faulty thought process. I then decided to change my thought process drastically in a spiritual way. I trained myself to live my life like a duck in the water. Though the duck is in the water the water does not affect the duck. I live a detached life.

There is a sloka in Hindu religion told by Lord Krishna which means - you are supposed to work and live life without thinking or anticipating the result. To work is in our hand but the result is not.

Most of the stress we face is a result of expectations from life. Remove your expectations and stress will vanish.

Over the past few years, i have been through some very difficult and rough times in which my stress level was very high and was depressed for a while, i was unable to function properly, everything seemed unnatural to me and i was having a hard time doing even the simplest of tasks. Stress should never be considered as a slight problem, it's much more than that, it can influence your life in ways that sometimes can be understandable, there are a few ways in order to reduce the levels of stress such as : Get more sleep, balanced diet, exercise and meditation and over time you will definitely notice some major improvements.

It is true that a person under stress finds himself/herself in an unenviable situation. I analyze my stress first by asking myself, why am I stressed? I find that my stress is a result of expectations of others from me. I accept the fact that other people's expectations from me get a boost with my own greed. Slowly other's expectations from me become my expectations from me. When I fall short of my expectations I push myself into stress deeper and deeper resulting in depression.

My realization is that no one can get me out of this situation but me. I am the cause and I am the cure. The first step will be to talk to my self rationally with a clear and open mind. When I started this prosses of looking at my inner self there was a lot of disturbance and interruption by my greed, emotion, and expectations. It took me months of practice to achieve the private conversation stage by throwing out all my enemies in the form of my greed, emotion, and expectations.

I do not want to complicate the matter by explaining the next steps to permanently remove stress, tension, and anxiety. Moreover, next steps can be practiced only after you pass the first step.

They say stress is disharmony within the body. Find what works for you and incorporate it into your daily routine. I enjoy going for a jog with some sprinting added into it which really stimulates my nervous system. Weight-lifting is another activity both genders should do, as it comes with a lot of benefits. Herbal teas, music and just taking a nap do wonders as well.

Another way is when I feel too wound up and tense, I just head right outside. My ultimate stress-relieving happy place is the beach. There has been studies that insufficient exposure to sunlight can cause increase in depression and stress in some individuals. Lack of vitamin D, which we also get from sunlight, can cause us to feel lousy when we least expect it.

Stress and Tensions have become a part of life of every person's especially today, in the twenty first century. Right from the top executives, corporate honchos to a common housewife and even small children going to school, coping with the growing stress is the biggest challenge for each and everyone.

To cope effectively with the daily stress and tensions, one must be able to control the mind. If our mind is calm and composed then we can be able to face all the difficulties of life and achieve success. In order to be able to control our mind, one must meditate regularly. Just as the human body needs regular exercise to remain fit, the human mind also does need the exercise of meditation to keep itself fit. Therefore Meditating regularly is the best way to fight all the stress and tensions of our life.

Coping with stress can be the most deadliest form of medical condition there is, " in my opinion"
If you're anything like most people, like myself, then there always comes a time, your just plain tired of dealing with all the stress. often times come to suicide or depression. As far as the news and things happening in the world and in my community. That is why I chose this forum. So that you can save yourself and not do what I did due to stress!!!!!

Hello, my name is David and when I was growing up, I was abused and secluded from society, and made going to my room away from my parents and friends. It caused me to have behavioral problems in school. All my parents did was fight. Due to that I suffer from P.T.S.D.. By the time I was 16, I was such a mess i had done been in an out of three mental institutions, two training schools. And was in jail for vandalism and assault with a deadly weapon. Even though it was self defense I still got trial as an adult and went to prison for two years. This is were I learned how to really cope with stress.

The first two months I was incarcerated all I did was fight and stayed in the hole. Then one day I realised something, "Hey". I am tired of hurting my nuckles staying in the hole. I started listening to a little tickling in my guts. Something inside deep was missing in my life. IT WAS LOVE .

So yea, I have watched TV were you find a woman of your dreams and merry her and live happily ever after. And it is true the only thing that will do away with stress is two things Love yourself, and finding something that you love and turning to it when you can't cope with stress anymore. So Please by all means, learn to love or doing something you love to do. Don't be like me and give up on life or go through it angry turn for help or find true love. There is hope and remember you are somebody and I love you.

Stress is caused by having too much worries due to the problems of this world and you almost reach a breaking point. There is not only one given way in which you deal with stress.

    Exercising may help out.

There is nothing as releaving as exercises. Workout help.

Know when to stop in your job

It is good to know when to stop and relax when your job is toiling on your health. Do not push your body too hard.

    Learn to make yourself happy

Happiness is an antidote that can relieve stress. The way to be happy is to make someone happy.

    Take a holiday

A holiday will relieve you of the stress that you are feeling.

    Know God is in control

Knowing God is in control can help one relieve stress.

Stress is something that if not handled properly, might lead to depression. There are so many ways to cope with stress. Personally whenever I feel stressed I tend to turn to music, listening to music makes me feel way much better. Talking also helps me a lot, as I tend to look for a close friend with whom I can share my problems with and hopefully come up with solutions. As the famous quote says ‘A problem shared is half solved’

Doing some exercises can also help keep my brain healthy and I’ll be able to be in a better position to make the right decisions.

I cope with stress by sticking to a healthy routine every single day and of course eating healthy. The way that I do it is firstly to have enough sleep, sleep for me is underrated, people don't even know how important sleep is, if you don't get enough of sleep you'd easily get stressed, your mood throughout the day is low and you easily get pissed off, really having enough sleep is essential in coping with stress another thing that I do is that I jog everyday, early in the morning and in the afternoon I workout or just play sports like basketball, the thing is to get your body moving because we are designed to move around not just sit in front of the computer whole day or use mobile phone all day. That's just not how we are designed to, we're supposed to move a lot and gather foods like hunting in a forest or getting fish in the see in order to survive but in today's world we're more likely to be physically inactive which is so unhealthy and thus makes us more stressed.

Using coping methods is a great way to get through stress.

Some excellent stress/anxiety relieving coping methods are:

4 Square Breathing- breathe in for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds, exhale for 4 seconds, wait for 4 seconds.

Run you hands under cold water while doing four square breathing to boost the effects.
