Usually,I read reviews of the movie I am going to watch.I am not doing this to know whether it is good or bad.
I like to know what type of movie it is ,who the actors are etc.But some times I find that I have skipped some good movies because of adverse reviews. So now I just try to watch them without any preconceived notions. How about you?

Sometimes I do read reviews before I see a movie. Sometimes I don't. If the movie trailer is compelling enough to pique my interest, I will likely just watch the movie without reading a review. If the trailer has me on the fence about how entertaining the movie may be, I will wait for people to watch the movie and read their reviews, or even watch their video reviews on YouTube.

I actually don't review movies especially if I like the actors and or actresses, I intent to watch it without reviewing. Sometimes, if I see movie trailer on television or in Youtube Channel and if think that the movie doesn't make sense, I don't watch it because I don't wanna waste my money for not decent movie.

Usually if its a new Hollywood movie then I don't feel the need to read reviews online, as those movies tend to be a trendy topic to talk about, and you hear about them everywhere. But If we're talking about a movie that is not American, then yes, I would say that reading some reviews online would be a must for me, as I don't want to waste my time and energy on a bad movie. This is not to say that Hollywood movies are better, of course not, I just think that Hollywood movies get better press, so you hear about them everywhere.

    Hi Rajeeta.

In addition to not good reviews, the exorbitant costs of movie tickets and foods at the concession stands make going to the movies not any everyday experience, yet, an "every blue moon" type of experience for many moviegoers. I myself do sometimes read reviews before going to a newly released film. Though, so powerful is it to know who is playing in the film, it many times does not even matter how terrible the reviews even are.

Twitter has a word for this: "Follow." Many moviegoers go to watch a film even though they know that the film will not be good, simply because they are followers of the actor or actress that is playing a part in the movie. I must say, the reviews sometimes matter, and sometimes they do not matter; nicely said.

I only read reviews if i feel conflicted in regards to whether the movie plot is actually what i think it is based on the trailer or i'm mistaken, at the moment there are countless sites that offer reviews for all entertainment platforms but unfortunately only a handful of them actually provide accurate and unbiased reviews. Therefore even after reading reviews you must be aware that we are all different and what one person might think it's sub par or just not worthy, the other may find it appealing and pleasing.

I like to see what people think of a movie I've been looking forward to just to get a sense of whether or not it will actually be worth my time and money to get up and go to the theater. I don't go that often so I usually end up going anyway, but it's nice to know that when you're spending exorbitant amounts of money on popcorn and drinks that you'll at least be enjoying yourself.

I do. This really helps me if that movie interest me and if it's worthy of my money. I usually just read books at home as my hobby but I also love to watch movies that can inspire me. I usually check 5 to 8 reviews of a movie before I watch it with my boyfriend. I really make sure I allocate time to check the movie and check his schedule as well to make sure we can watch the movie. He's not fond of watching movies though, I really convince him since I can't go with his activities. Since he is into hiking, mountain climbing and the usual extreme sports. We make sure the movie time is our "babe time".

Not only that I read reviews , I also watch Youtube reviews. I think this is the most important thing when you are looking for a good movie. It is also important to read/view the whole review because some movies have a really good action at the beginning and the final is very bad.

It's my hobby to read reviews first before i watch movies on You tube. By reading reviews i would be able to pick good movies. Most of the good movies do have good reviews and this is what i look for. Its also time saver for me to be able to skip boring movies. For me a good movie should be entertaining all the way. Most especially an action movie or horror movie, it should have a good reviews. Its really most likely for me to watch movies by seeing positive comments on the movie.

I am review reader. I always read the reviews of a movie before I watch it. I have to have an idea of what the movie is about. The title alone is not enough, because sometimes the title does not give you no clue as to what the movie is about. I choose the movies that I watch by the reviews. Sometimes I skip good movies because of the title and go back later and read the review and decided to watch the movie and it be really good.

One of my daughters and I watch a lot of movies together. She use to have a movie ready to watch and when I am ready to sit down to watch, she press play and I say " Hold up! Go back! I have to read the review before I watch this". Sometimes after reading the review, I don't want to watch the movie and we have to chose another one that we both agree on. Now she just have the movie set for me to read the review when we don't decide on the movie together.

Yes, I read reviews and see the ratings of the movie before I go watch it. It greatly affects mu judgement towards the movie. I want to read other people's input regarding the movie if whether its a must see movie or not.

I don't usually go to a theater. But when I do, I always see to it that I won't be watching a particular movie just because everybody watches it. I make sure first that it's a quality movie and its genre is aligned with my preference by reading first the reviews and commentaries to have a glimpse of how the movie went. For me, it's the best way to tell if it's worth spending or not. Regretting is one of the worst feeling to feel when I realized I didn't get the value out of the money I spent.

So perosnally, I don't think reading reviews first would be a bad idea after all.

Yes, I like to read reviews so as to have a general idea of what the film is about. I also like to know what actors and actresses are in the film. Sometimes it's just enough to hear what a friend or relative has to say about the film to convince me.

I often find that most reviews live up to my expectation of the film but then, after having seen it, I make up my own opinion.

I will usually go out of my way to read reviews on a movie before I decide to watch it because I don't want to waste my time and money on a bad movie. Even just general word of mouth from friends can affect my decision on whether or not I will see a movie. Now if a movie I am really interested in seeing has mostly bad reviews I will probably at least give it a try.

I read movie reviews and for TV shows I always read episodes summaries before I watch. I will, therefore, watch a movie or TV show I have read its review regardless of its ratings. The plot is what will determine if I will be interested in a movie or not. Reading a movie or TV shows will ensure I don't waste my time watching and then regretting later.
