I prefer a printed book and an audiobook at the same time. I usually buy a used paperback and download the audiobook. Then I play the audiobook (usually at a faster speed than the default) while I follow along in the book. I find that when I read, my mind wonders and it can take me up to three or four minutes just the read a single page. Listening to the audiobook keeps me on track. After I finish the book, I delete the audiobook, but keep the printed book as "proof" that I have read it.

I much prefer printed books, they're what I grew up with. I just love the physicality of them. You just open the book and read, no messing, no buttons to press, no worries about batteries and glare. As regards audio books, they're akin to listening to the radio so they don't hold much appeal to me.

I prefer reading printed books compared to e-books and audiobooks. Why? Simply because I love the feel of the crisp paper as I turn the pages. I also love to see my collection of books on a shelf displayed. For me, when I hold and read a book, I subconsciously remember the physical location of the words whether it was on a paragraph towards the beginning or end of the book, or on the left or right side of the page. I also tend to track down the number of pages yet to be read.

While e-books are often cheaper and easier to carry, I think that staring at a lit screen can also be tiring for the eyes. I also think that the way we read on a screen is different as to reading on a physical book. We tend to look for keywords and take shortcuts rather than reading things sentence by sentence. I'm not really much of a fan of audiobooks since I don't think I'll be able to absorb it all in my head.

Yes, I like printed books but when the technology of reading books on phone arises, I love e-books now. One of the best advantage of an e-book is you can keep it inside your pocket, because you can store your books and read them on the phone.

Personally I prefer printed books. Especially if it’s a book I really enjoy. I like having a physical copy to keep on my bookshelf as a part of my “collection.”

If we’re talking about textbooks however, I would have to say e-books are better. They’re less expensive and since you can access them anywhere from a phone or laptop it saves me the trouble of having to carry heavy books to class every day.

If people have unlimited access to internet and have smoothly working gadgets, then e-books are very helpful to them because e-books are more portable and cheaper than the printed one. You can always read your favorite e-book just using your mobile gadgets. But there's some disadvantages of it like you may run out of battery when you are in outdoor places and if you are not that a techie person then you may find it annoying to use your gadget and to read your e-book because you're unaware and unfamiliar of the navigation buttons. Having a printed book instead of the e-book version of it is also very helpful because the printed one will always there even if your mobile gadgets suddenly malfunctioned and there's also a possibility that you may lose your files. But to answer the question whether which version I prefer, I think it depends what resources I have today and even how reliable they are. In my case, I prefer the e-book version because I can read some books for free and I'm always broke so I don't have much money to buy a printed one. Unlike if I access some free e-books especially in Wattpad, I don't have to worry if I can afford it or not because Wattpad has a lot available free published books created by professional writers as well.

I prefer e-books. The reason for this is simple - I like to read a lot and have limited storage space. A tablet can hold thousands of books for me to read with little space used.

I love reading e-books. It makes reading very easy for me. I can multitask on my computer device and I can read faster on my devices. Also I can keep and store those e-books in my emails hence I can have access to them anytime I need and compared to printed books that can get spoiled if not well taken care of.
You can not also be going to places with your printed books every time.

It depends. If I'm reading for pleasure, I prefer a hard copy book, but I will also read an e-book. If it's for a class, I have to have a hard copy book. I'm old school and I like to read and maybe underline information that is important. I haven't used the audio books yet. Maybe, when I'm on a beach vacation, I'll try to audio book.

I agree with you Vince. Nothing beats the feel of a book cover and the turning of crisp pages, but as you've said, with technological advances one can store multiple books on their device and have them in the palm of their hand all at the same time. I love printed books but I definitely prefer e - books.

With the current trends in technological advancedment, printed books are a thing of the past. I prefer ebooks @jusumortal due to their affordable price and good user interface. Some ebooks also have animations which spices up the reading experience.

I prefer printed books. Its easier to outline and go back to pages when its printed. Also i can bring it wherever i go. I wont look like a gadget addict when i use printed books. Plus, i can give it to anyone when im done reading it.

I have to agree with you Trish that with printed books, you can give the book to someone else once you are done or even an organization that collects books for those who can't afford them. That being said I'm still a super fan of ebooks for the convenience they provide, I could be stuck in traffic and immediate pull up my phone or tablet and start reading.

The other benefit is that you can never loose your books, they're safely stored in your cloud account and you can access them from any device.

I enjoy all three. It also depends on what I am doing. Since I have a visual deficit, reading an e-book or listening to an audio-book is much easier especially when traveling. E-books are more steady when held. I love reading for personal pleasure as well as reading to others. Audio-books, I can just sit back and listen.

I hate to admit, I hadn't really been a book person, until recently. Every night, I end my day reading an eBook on my tablet. Yes I know that you shouldn't use technology in the bed (per the "experts"), but for me, reading before bed has recently become a calming ritual that I look forward to every night.

I love printed books. I only learnt of ebooks when I joined campus but they have never suppressed my love for printed books. Ask me of audio books and I will be like 'what are those?'

I don't love ebooks because of the disadvantages technology has. Phones that hang, its several uses because I will be reading at the same time chatting or receiving calls and also I need something that I can save for future. Ebooks can be saved but what if I loose my phone or PC? At least I can save my printed book in a shelf for a long time.

For me, nothing beats the printed book. The tactile engagement of flipping over pages, the smell of the pages, seeing words in print is still something. The physical aspect of holding books brings a sense of comfort. While I do read e-books, and I do have several, for me, nothing beats the real thing. Books may be bulky and need storage space but it still is the best for me.

I like reading printed books. It keeps me engaged in reading, e-books and audiobooks easily distracts me and I end up forgetting where I was or what the book is about.

I prefer reading physical books. I have not tried listening to an audio book before so I cannot say anything about it but I tend to get distracted when I am reading an e-book. I just prefer a physical copy that I can touch, and smell. In addition to this, I also love the feeling I get when I flip the pages.
