Do you prefer do work out in the morning or at night before bed. I like to walk in the morning and do yoga at night time. For me doing yoga at night helps me relax and sleep better. It also helps me calm down when I have had a crazy day. It's harder for me to get out in the early morning to go to the gym since I am a Mom. Any suggestions on how to make early morning workouts enjoyable that is worth getting up for before I start my day? I set my alarm and by the time I get done with shutting the alarm off, I am right back to bed and lose out on doing any kind of workout at all. Late at night workouts help a little bit but only have time for a few to do. I see a lot of people running in the morning and I used to run until I had my first son. I would like to get back into that again. I should not make it into a big chore but yet I do and the motivation is not there. What are your routines?

I always try to workout in the morning after a healthy breakfast and a goodnight sleep. This way I will be able to handle all the natural requests my job demands of me. The motivation for a healthy lifestyle choice is another benefit of an early morning workout.

Knowing I'm planning on hitting the gym first thing in the morning, I will be more likely to want to go to sleep earlier which is also better for my health.

I think everyone has a different schedule and what works for one may not necessarily work for all. The early morning tends to be the most suitable for me and works best. If I should wait until the afternoon or evening I find there is no motivation. As soon as I wake up I do yoga and go right into meditation for about 30 minutes. This sets the mood for the day and gives me the needed motivation for the tasks ahead.

Working out early in the morning is great if you want to start your day in a refreshing way. Of course, not everyone can affort to do so, because alot of people start work soon after they wake up, but if you have the free time you should definitely try it. Working out, taking a shower and having a breakfast is one of the best parts of the day for me. Exercising in the morning grants a lot of health benefits such as improving your physical and mental energy or developing strong self-discipline.

I personally find that a morning workout is a good way to get motivated for the day. If I wait until afternoon, I notice that I am less likely to commit to actually doing it. It is more about preference though!

Good for you because for me, waking up early in the morning to hit the gym is hard to achieve it makes me tired all the time. I always prefer afternoon work out, my muscle is already warm up during working hours and it's easy for me to do some warm ups. During afternoon work out, I can feel my sweat is already dripping even for 10 minutes doing set ups. Having more sweat keeps me on going and fit all the time. Exercise is very important to our body and contributes a lot of benefits, that is why I never missed my daily routine.

I like both depending on my availability. If I have time in the morning then, I go for it. If my free time is in the evening, then, I do my exercises at night. I usually do a ten-minute exercise, and I plan to jog outside two times a week. I really think that I have to up my exercise since I am gaining weight and I have fats stored in my body. I don't like it, this only means that I have to discipline myself. There are times when I am tired I forgo my exercise but this needs to stop. I am aware of the importance of exercise and maintaining a healthy body so I need to be careful of what I eat and do my exercise routine.

I usually workout in the morning but i think that's because i'm a morning person, it's just a great way to start your day feeling that you've accomplished something which gives me a motivational and productivity boost but also it makes me eat healthier foods because of the fear that all my hard work wouldn't mean anything if i went around eating all those chocolate bars. Nonetheless, my friends like to workout in the evening they say it's better that way because the gym is less crowded, so i guess it really depends on your prefrences and your availability of course.

It really depends on your personal choice and current lifestyle. I believe that there are early birds and night owls. Personally, I also prefer to exercise in the morning. Having a workout in the morning is like having a breakfast that boosts my metabolism. I also want to have a good feeling in the morning after a workout as it brightens up my whole day, and leaves a positive perspective throughout the day.

I prefer morning workout. It starts my day on a good note. And I think it is for most people, it makes you feel more fresh and awake to face the day. Your motivation levels go high and it kinda prepares you to face the days challenges with a smile. However, we are all different, just try switching between the two and you will know which one is the best.

I prefer to do exersise early morning. This includes moderate workouts such as running ect. However, I always do streneos workouts in the afternoon because that's when the body is absorbing oxygen at its optimal level.

Preferences here solely relies in your lifestyle, work, hobbies etc,. Of course practically speaking some of you ladies and gentlemen have different things going in your life. Maybe some of you here work in night shifts, some are working 9am - 5pm the typical working hours for us. For me goes on late night workout, i see a cons on working out early in the morning specially when you're working out daily. Working out in early morning may reduce your daytime energy and somehow, maybe, may affect your things that you'll do throughout the day.

But if you're doing it on your day offs, i can't see nothing wrong with that. I just prefer working out on late nights, because, although daytime consumes your energy, you just have to take a quick 30 mins - 1 hour workout before your wear down. It will stimulate your sleep after doing it, then do some wearing down exercises to set yourself to sleep. This method of mine is proven and gives you a goodnights sleep.

If you want to live a healthy life, you should take into consideration one of the most important factors which is exercise. Exercise is good both for our body and mind. It will not only help you to be fit but also to live a happy and content life. Next thing that you need is to establish a habit. This is an essential factor to a successful exercise. But which is a better time of the day to exercise?

In my personal view, it depends on the person's preference. Morning and evening exercise have their own benefits. It is good to exercise early in the morning because it will allow you to be more active the whole day. It will boost your metabolism and will help you to lose weight because it will burn more calories for the rest of your day. At the same time, an exercise in the evening will help you to have better sleep. You will also be able to exercise comfortably without thinking of the time.

Whatever time you choose is fine as long as you are comfortable and satisfied.

Definitely, late night workouts. I have a 12 hour job and a toddler at home. In my free time during day, my toddler keeps getting my attention. I can't even get a time to prepare for my workout. That's the reason I really liked working out at night. No one will disturb me and I can get all the exercise I want without any disturbances because my toddler is already asleep. After a nice workout, I will drink my protein shake and I will go straight to bed. That's the best feeling after working out, having a long sleep to recover all the worked muscle group.

However, there's one disadvantage in workout out at night and that is you feel sleepy during your workout. A good warm up will sometimes get rid of it but sometimes when you're really tired, it stays until the end of the workout. I also can't use a pre workout because I need to sleep right after I workout.

For me Early morning. It helps start up your metabolism. Makes you energetic during the day. If your metabolism is burning at the right rate, your food will digest faster.
I just believe is the right way to start off ones day.

I prefer working out in the morning to in the evening. I am fresh and ready to attack the day in the morning and what better way to start the day than by working out. It leaves me feeling more positive about the day.

I have always found that when I work out in the evening I get bored and tired faster due to the day activities.

I personally workout both in the morning and the afternoon. My morning workout normally consists of a light workout, stretching, and yoga. In the afternoon I do my morning workout which is a bit more extreme. For the evenings I workout for about and hour, including cardio. Each day I workout a different body part each day, such as legs on Monday, butt on Tuesday, arms on Wednesday and so on.

Yeah, same here. Morning workouts are good because they get the adrenaline pumping and help you wake you up. Famous CEO's always mention working out in the morning as a habit that helps you be more productive, so the benefits go beyond your health. I like working out in the morning a little just to get my day off on the right foot but I actually try to meet my goals in the PM.

Another thing is that if you make a habit of it, exercise helps to regulate your sleep cycle, especially if you're prone to insomnia like me. You know you have to get up early for your workout, and by the time 10 o'clock rolls around, if you've been keeping up with your routine in the AM and PM, you're tired out and ready for bed.

I have tried both and I always find that working out in the morning is better. I end up feeling lively and ready to handle the day ahead after a morning workout session. I try to keep the exercise light so that I do not end up burning through my energy reserves for the day. This can also vary depending on how much time I have. Sometimes it seems working out in the evening might be ideal.

It's better exercising early in the morning, the earlier the better. I prefer starting as early as 4:00am, exercise for 10minutes so I can get ready for work.

I like feeling the early morning breeze on my skin while exercising, gives me a soothing effect and puts me in a good mood for the rest of the day.
