I've learned the basics of Python 3 and HTML, and I'm wondering which to pursue further—or if I should just learn a different one altogether. I've heard that Python 3 is extremely important to know nowadays, but then I've also heard C# being important too.

I think that it really depends on what you want to use the language for. I started learning Java mostly because it was easy and it was used in a lot of my classes. I think that Python is a very important language (it is actually the language I am currently learning) since it is all around useful. C# is very useful for making games since Unity uses it as it's main coding language. My brother who does engineering uses MATLAB. I think that if you want to use a language which is all around useful, go for c++, Java, or Python (I would suggest mastering more of Python before switching languages). If you want to make games, go for c#, and if you want to do engineering work use MATLAB.

So first off if you would like to do serious web develop you need to know JavaScript and CSS. Though that is a start for move advanced sites I'd recommend you use something like PHP which is what this site is made on. Next you do need to know some varrent of c which one is your preference but most languages and created around c so it's easy to learn other languages once you have learned c. Finally all programing languages can do the same things although they are different and some are hardest than the others it's all about personal preference for which one you choose.
