Can change come without the need for violence or does violence inevitably come to play?

Think about the most drastic changes caused by humans overtime and how what may have started out as a peacful idea changed to warfare or just violence. Can humans make a difference without the potential of casualities??

 

Change can definitely be made without violence. I think that what's difficult about this question is that making change, or feeling like you're making a change feels more powerful when you are actually being physical and violent. That doesn't mean that peaceful protests can't bring change.

 

A change can occur without violence, it depends on those who wants to uphold this change. Are they diplomatic?

 

Yes!! I totally agree with this. I think people only see the change that happens when they compare the good and bad. So I think it's important when looking at the impact of a peaceful protest to also think about what would've happened had the protest not occurred.

 

Change can happen without violence. It can occur when an idea, event, or realization makes an impact. It doesn't have to be violent to make an impact worth changing.
