Recently, I keep hearing about how Trump wants to ban Tiktok, and honestly I don't know how to feel. I personally don't use it that much. I follow a few celebrities but I never, like, post videos or anything. I don't really see the hype in it and why it is such a big deal to Trump. Is it really that bad?

Trump is quite eccentric in his endeavors, indeed. In my opinion, the app is used for people to express themselves or have fun. It is actually quite harmless in my eyes, and I cannot seem to see the reason for it to be banned. The app can even be used to spread awareness in these troubling times, so it really makes me wonder why he would want to ban it. Don't you agree?

All the claims President Trump have made regarding Tik Tok have proven to be false, and is all just talk. Tik Tok is a safe app for teens to use to communicate and express themselves. Trump's focus on a teens app during a world wide deadly pandemic is because the app is harder to control than others. What I mean by "control" is the advertisement and propaganda. Users on Tik Tok has also been noticed in the news recently for joining together and trying to take down Donald. For example, selling out an entire rally (1.1 million) and only 2,000 showing up. As well as rating his presidential campaigning down all the way to 1 star hoping to get it kicked off the app store.

In 2017, approximately 1.49 lakh people died due to road accidents in India only. If banning TikTok is justified, then banning people from driving on the road is even more justified.
Every hour one student commits suicide in India. Per day 24 students, which if you further calculate, then per year 61350 students die because of pressure, failure, and depression because of failure of our Education System.
If banning TikTok is justified, then preventing students from studying is even more justified.
Approx. 16 lakh people die in India because of poor healthcare, poor quality of doctors, poor medical facilities, lack of medicines in hospitals, lack of oxygen etc. Why don’t you ban those hospitals which fail to meet basic requirements?
You don’t ban driving even when 1.49 lakh people died, because it will stop transportation. Like artery will stop.

You don’t ban our education system because it provides education to those who survived.

You don’t ban these hospitals even after lakhs of death because it saves more lives too.

Accidents happen, people die. To prevent those deaths you need to create awareness. You need to provide facilities, you need to change your system.

But banning is an easy solution. Who will take responsibility for creating awareness, who will spend money on awareness? Who will take responsibility for changing those systems?

So what is the easiest and safest way?

    Ban.

Who has the time for all those above mentioned things to be done?

So, run away from your responsibility, and ban.

Personally I don't use tiktok at all.I have seen other people post their tiktoks which is an easy way for me to watch their clips which they can embed on various social media so that one good thing about it.When I heard it was from China, that put me off using it as they might be spying on users and China have their own agenda so I don't really trust it.

As I already use Instagram mostly for videos and pictures I mostly just use that instead of Tiktok. Then again I don't really like the silly Tiktok videos that popup as adverts either,it kind of cheapens the app to me.

As for Trump he is mostly talk,he can't really ban Tiktok,he himself uses twitter a lot even though twitter itself has it's own issues as well when it comes to censoring things.Somethings like online harrassment were overlooked by twitter, and only now they are looking into that.

I haven't used TikTok and I don't intend to join anytime soon. However, I think it's an amazing app and I hope they won't ban it

I don't use tiktok that much. When I first discovered it, I did spend a lot of time watching as those short videos are a great boredom buster but I check it maybe once a week now, mostly when someone sends me a video they liked, I don't see any reason to ban it.

It was the year 2019 when I first discovered tiktok because of my friend, she became so lonely and depressed the only thing that kept her distracted and entertained was being able to make tiktok videos and share it with me, and I have witnessed how a 15-30 seconds of video making can change a persons mood.
thus I think tiktok shouldn't be banned.

I don't think that Tiktok should be banned. Mostly because it can be a good way to share information. Sure, there are a lot of cringe and weird stuff on there, but other times there's actually good quality content. There's a chance for people to connect with others and find communities where they feel accepted and appreciated. Besides, there are far bigger problems in the world than Tiktok. If anything it should be the least of all our worries.

Tik tok is one of the best platform to share and get information. It can appraise personal and business brands. it shouldn't be ban. It will be another big thing after instagram.
