A few weeks ago I bought a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4x and of coure my friend that has a Samsung Galaxy S 7 Edge said why did you buy a chinese phone? They are junk and they are really slow. But on the first day of using the Xiaomi i felt power and speed of the phone . The Interface was awsome it was fast and had a lot of different futures. I could swipe between apps with a single click of a button. The phone was really strong , and the battery lasted for 2 DAYS!! of watching youtube and reading manga. Even comparing my phone to the other phones of my friend their Xperia or even Samsung phones. My phone won. Now i ask you is it worth it or is it not?

China is popular for making some cheap products on the market, but that does not mean that they can't manufacture items that are going to serve the people well. I have made use of Chinese electronics and I must say that they are one of the best that you can get in the market despite the fact that they are also cheap. So, I am of the opinion that the new mobile that you got is going to serve you well, as you already confirmed that it is a nice device as well.

In my opinion, a Chinese phone is only worth it if it's from a reputable brand like ASUS, OPPO and Huawei. Even if you buy from these companies, you'd still have a decent selection of accessories available. Even when an unfortunate accident happens, you can bet your money that spare parts are available when you have it fixed locally.

I've had experience using a Chinese phone from an unknown brand. It works like any phone out there at first but you start to see the quality missing. As time passed, it started not working anymore and I went to have it fixed. The repairman said they don't carry spare parts for this model and he doubts other repair stores will. It's better if I buy something new which I did. This time from a reputable brand. I've even heard of stories from other people saying their Chinese phones caught fire or that it just suddenly didn't work. Buy at your own risk.

Chinese phones are worth it depending of course on the brand. I own a China phone myself, it's a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4x. I've had it for a year now and it still performs like it's brand new. They recently had an update on the OS and it looks even better now. What I love about this phone is the battery life as it can last for up to 18 hours with regular use. Yesterday I didn't use my phone much and the battery lasted for almost 26 hours. Chinese phones are worth buying, you just need to do a lot of research on the brand before purchasing.

I had a chinese smartphones that I used for three years. It was really a bang-for-the-buck smartphone. The performance of the phone was great on the first year of usage. There was just a battery bug wherein when the battery level reaches 15%, the phone will only last for 15 seconds. It doesn't bother me anymore when I got used to it. Chinese smartphones are fine as long as you take care of it and maintain it very well. I have even looked at that Xiaomi model when my smartphone was starting to show its age. It has great specifications for its time and is capable of doing every task you'll need in a smartphone.

I believe Chinese phones are worth it, depending on the brand. My current phone is also Xiaomi. I’m using Mi 5 phone for almost 2 years and did not encounter any issues or problems. One of the things I love about it is the long battery life as posted above. Overall performance are great and within expectations. I can multitask, run a lot of applications, and still get good results not having any lags. The price is very affordable too compared to other brands. Aside from the Mi 5 phone, I’m also using Mi Band 2 as a fitness tracker. It works great with the phone.

A Chinese brand phone is worth the purchase. China are the World leaders in producing electronics and are a very important country in general.
I think that Chinese employees work among the hardest on the planet due to their extremely long working hours in workplaces like factories and sweatshops. I have not encountered major issues with a Chinese brand smartphone.
No brands of phones are invincible from potential glitches.

In today's cell phone market it doesn't really matter what brand you choose. All brands are going to have similar enough hardware for you to never notice. And, every cell phone manufacturer in the world uses parts that were made in China. The majority of iPhones are assembled in China, as are most other brands of cell phone. Your friend has a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, which is made in South Korea, pretty close to China.

Apart from the brand of the mobile device and specs and do on, generally Chinese phones are great, they are durable and fast, I particularly like their sharp color.
One funny thing is that even if you buy a European phone you are most likely to see a manufactured in China part on the phone. China has good technology and large manpower, as such is a manufacturing hub.

China phones are one of the best phones in the market because of their duplicating and improving strategy being employed when producing their product. The only problem people have with Chinese phone is that they want to buy a high end device in a low price but forgetting it will not perform like the ones that are sold in higher price as Chinese manufacturers always rational the capability of their to product to its price. If you need a competitive Chinese phone, go for the ones with higher price tag.

Xiaomi user here. I've used the Redmi 8a, Redmi Go, Redmi Note 2, and one of my current phones is a Redmi 7a. I can wholeheartedly recommend Chinese phones, as long as you get a good brand. Remember to check reviews and the specifications of the phone before you buy, and you should be all right. I learned this the hard way with the Redmi Go. It only had 1GB of ram, so even typing out a novel on the phone was slow as molasses. Very few apps ran well on the phone, and it was just a pain to use in general. Perhaps some modifications might have made it a much better phone, but I doubt that it would have been much better after the modifications. Don't make the same mistake I did. Test the phone out before you buy it if you can. If not, research the phone online to see what others say about it. Xiaomi is a good brand, and there are many more good Chinese brands, but remember to avoid the very low-end phones. Anything older than 4 years or anything running Android Go is a no-no unless it can't be helped.

P.S. If you can, get a phone that has an active custom ROM community so that you can get updates long after the manufacturer has abandoned your device. This is one place that Xiaomi excels. Other good brands for this include OnePlus, ZTE (including Nubia) and Lenovo (including Motorola and ZUK). Flashing custom ROMs requires you to be rather technically-skilled, so if you don't have the skills, that's fine as well.

Why not? If Chinese brands are selling phones and providing value for money, Indian customers as well as shopkeepers are getting benefited by it. Then there is no problem in buying a Chinese phone. Even US based Smartphones and Laptops are manufactured in China. If Chinese Smartphones are banned in India many people will get unemployed. All these Oppo, Vivo Showrooms nearby will get closed and their kids and family members will struggle in poverty until they find a new job.

Brands like Xiaomi are manufacturing devices in India due to the Make in India campaign. Every country has to make some diplomacy with the neighboring countries. Recently Govt. Imposed 12–18% taxation on smartphones and its parts sold in India if all the Chinese smartphones stopped selling in India, How will the Govt. get this taxation? They would impose more taxes on other products.
