Hi Maeby, I think a really great place to start if you want to learn more about computers, is figure out what it is you'd like to achieve with them. For example, do you enjoy taking photos and want to learn how to edit them effectively? Do you like writing and want to know how to use a word processor so you can create a manuscript to send to publishers? The possibilities are absolutely endless, and I'm sure if you're able to narrow it down a little bit, there will be lots of people able to point you in the right direction of tutorials and literature to help you learn more about the aspects of computing you're most interested in.

Well depends on the actual knowledge of computers you have, if you are absolute beginner find beginner tutorials on UDEMY, COURSEA and GCF. there are online learning sites you could learn from your home, find someone that will show you how to create an account or watch you tube tutorial for it. if you have basic knowledge then try to associate the computer with something you do and or like it will help you get along with it easily and quickly.

Hi Maeby, I hope you are well.

When I was in college, I was required to take a class on computers. I was quite intimidated at first because I was not tech-savvy at all. You could put a computer in front of me and tell me to download something, and I would be completely clueless. But, the college class that I took, taught me how to use applications like Word and Excel, along with many other things. I took this class at a community college, and you could too!

It's gonna come down to just doing it. If you need a computer, you learn to use the computer gradually.

If you're in college you'll get a crash course in office suites whether you want to or not. If you're just poking around on your own time at home, you'll get to what you get to in time. If you need to learn something specific fast, Youtube is the new Google. "Microsoft Excel automatic calculations" will get you enough results and videos that you'll muddle through an expense list quick enough if that's what you need to do. There's really no bog-standard formula to 'learn computers.' Way too broad of a notion there. If you've got a specific problem you Google it, if you need to know how to swap a power supply in a desktop then you might check Youtube and watch somebody do it first.

These days computers have been boiled down to an almost hilariously simple user experience. Most times it's as easy as poking at a phone. Then again, these days a phone can do most of what a person wants to do on a computer, but that's a different conversation. Start small but jump in.
