I would prefer the Xbox Series X only because it comes with Forza horizon 5 and I love racing games.

Well according to me both have quite close visual qualities and graphics, so its on person and brand, what they choose.

I personally don't have either consoles, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. However, I do have an older generation console, the Xbox 1S, so I'll give my input based on my experience with it.
I spent around $250 on my Xbox 1S console and was surprised to find out that it didn't come with additional games. I also had to buy a 'Game Pass' in order to play with friends online. This was very disappointing since I had already spent a hefty sum of money buying the console itself. I think that having to spend additional money for access to multiplayer games is a bit too much.

After doing a bit of research, however, I found out that Playstation also requires a subscription to play online games. so it seems like the downside of having to pay extra money for features balances out for both consoles. Both consoles have similar prices for games as well, so that is also a nonfactor when deciding between the two consoles.

With that in mind, I guess it's up to you to choose your console. But, keep in mind that some games are not compatible across both consoles, so if you have an Xbox and a friend has a Playstation, for example, you wouldn't be able to play with each other. That is the only input I really have for you when deciding between the two consoles.
