I have dibbed and dabbed with both and I must say for me full body workouts are the way to go. My two biggest reasons for feeling this way is due to the fact full body workouts allow you to hit all muscles with more frequency and allows your entire body to rest on your off days.

With splits you are always, for the most part, working a body part or two at some point everyday of each week. You may take one complete day off each week but for sure in my opinion full body workouts give me more rest days during the week. For the last 4 years I have been doing full body workouts three days a week with four rest days. You simply can't get that much rest for your muscle's when doing splits. What do you think?

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by splits. But I usually focus on one or two muscle groups a day. I find this works better for me. Leg day is obviously my favorite and most important day. Even when it's a bad week I never miss leg day. I like doing it this way because I'm able to focus on the particular area I want to work. For my my calves are a big focus at the moment. I have been researching new ways to work them and in leg day I am able to focus on my calves for a good half hour at least. Usually every month I pick a particular area I really want to focus on. One that I feel needs work. So splitting up the different areas works better for me. I workout 4 days a week with 3 days off.

I'm a big fan of splits, I most likely do 2 bodyparts at a time. I feel like this way I get the most out of my training because I can spend more time on each muscle group and also I can hit them harder since I'm not training as long as I would do if I did full body workouts. Since I want to hit each muscle group twice a week I'm doing weight training five to six days a week. But I dont see that as a problem since I really love and enjoy working out in the gym.
