What is the importance of prayer?

I believe that Prayer is simply responding to God.
It's about turning our hearts to God, bringing us to God and God to us.

How important is prayer to you?

 

Prayer is the most powerful weapon we have on earth. It is more powerful then guns . It is more powerful than any armed forces. Prayer build a relationship a communication with God. God is all powerful and to be able to talk the creator of the universe is mind blowing. Prayer makes anything in life possible and while I am writing this I just realized I need to pray more for everything. Thanks for the beginning post.

 

For those of us who trust and believe in the Lord,prayer is a weapon just as Edward Hampton has said and also a method of thanking Him for His goodness to us. Faith and courage are necessary when praying because they give you the hope needed to go through life's huddles with ease.

Prayer is also a form of reassurance of a connection between you and God. There is really nothing better than that. That's why His son,Jesus Christ spent most of His time communing with Him;emboldening Him to give up His life for everyone's sake.

 

Prayer is the only means of communication between God and mankind.when God put Mankind on earth, he gave up his jurisdiction to them, that said, God can not do anything on earth unless mankind ask him to intervene and that can only be done through prayer.

Many people wonder why there is a lot of suffering in the world and God seems to be doing nothing, the explanation is very simple , it is not his jurisdiction.
Until and Unless men invite God through prayer to intervene in the affairs of Men God's hands are tied.

 

Prayer is important because it is the connection that we have with our Creator. Prayer just gives us an assurance that there is somebody up there who understands our needs is has got our back. When we are in difficult situations and are feeling so stressed and there is no else to turn to, we can talk to our creator because he is available for us at any given time.

Prayer kind of allows us to achieve a mental and physical balance and overall just appreciate life for what it is.

 

Prayer is a self submission that happens in the transcendental level. It is a silent communication between our consciousness and the universal consciousness. When he who prays becomes in tune with he who hears, the prayer gets answered. The answer comes from within.

Prayer just happens. It is not taught; but comes from the heart.

 

Prayer is basically communication with God. We can ask Him to bless us or to provide a miracle in our lives. We can also ask God to provide us with basic necessities. In this way, prayer allows us to obtain things that we need.

 

Prayer is really a great aspect of life and should be done everyday. If it wasn't for prayer a lot of changes in my life won't go right. God is the reason I wake up in the morning and I always make time for him. Prayer is the key to prosperity and it will improve your life indeed.

 

Prayer provides us positive energy. It is a form of meditation to relieve from tensions and stress of daily life. If the habit of praying is developed in a child’s mind during his early ages, it can play a significant role in his mental development and carve him to a better person in future. Prayer means closeness to God and it’s a better way to reach God for sure. It’s always a positive feeling that a prayer enables us to think positively even about negative things and definitely prayer gives us a ray of hope.

 

Prayer is having conversation with God. In Prayer we are one with God. It gives us strength to go through life. It gives us assurance that God is with us and nothing is impossible with Him.

 

For me prayer is a contact with God, everything we desire and pray becomes reality. Brings peace and happiness to all who live by prayer. God in his infinite wisdom gave man the gift to have and be anything you want, and this is only possible by positive thinking, for those who want to live in peace and have complete happiness, you must learn to make many prayers.

 

Prayer is an important channel of communication between a human being and God. It is an act of faith believing that once I submit my request to God, He will answer according to his will. Whenever I pray, I first give God praises, adoration, then ask for forgiveness of any sins that committed then I present my request. Finally, I tell him to answer my prayers as per his desire. I like Anupama's post where she says that prayer is the contact with God.

I have learnt that God never always answers according to our desire but He gives us what He thinks is best for us at His own time.

 

Prayer is very important to me.It is my way of talking to God. Talking to God gives me reassurance, helps me to be more positive and to worry less. Before being baptized I used to worry a lot, was depressed to a point of near suicide. After being baptized and praying more often and believing when I pray, I lead a more peaceful life, worry free. I left all my troubles to God and I believed that they will be fixed and they were. Not always in the manner I would like or the timing I wanted but at the best time which is the Lords time.

I feel really good praising God in prayer. Just giving thanks most times for the good He has done in my life.

 

As a Roman Catholic I truly believe in the powers of prayers in my life. As I wake up in the morning the first thing I am doing is to communicate with God by means of praying to Him. I always thank Him for having a good night sleep and for giving me a new day in my life. I am offering to Him also my prayer, work and suffering for the day. Prayer is very important in my life because it gives me spiritual growth as a person who truly have that faith to our God. It always lift me up when I am struggling for something and when my life is in the dark. When I already communicate to Him I always see that there is still light and hope in my life. That is why always takes time to pray even for just a short time everyday in your life and you will see how it will change your life.

 

Prayer is very important. If you do not pray to God and tell him your troubles and down falls and even your days you feel great he will not respond. When you pray it is like you are talking to him but he does not vocally speak back. He hears your cries and praises and he will answer them if you pray to him with all your heart. Praying calms me down and makes me feel better when I get down.

 

Life’s circumstances change on a daily basis. In fact, things can go from good to bad to worse in a very short time. God calls us to bring our concerns to Him for disposition and potential blessing. He also calls us to share our joys and triumphs with Him. In fact, Jeremiah 33:3 states, “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” God wants us to call on Him so that He can answer our prayers that the importance of our prayer.

 

I pray to God every morning and every night. I thank Him for the day, everyone, and everything in my life. I also pray to Him when I am having a bad day or if I did something really wrong. I explain it to Him because I want to at least acknowledge my mistakes. I am going through a lot of stuff right now, and I have been praying that they will get fixed. Even though He already knows everything about me, it's nice to have conversations with Him. It's comforting for me to pray to Him if no one else is around to talk to. He will always understand me and be here for me. This is why prayer is important to me.

 

Prayer to me is just talking to god as I would talk to anyone. I personally like to stay humble and state my thankfulness and kindly ask for forgiveness no matter what. God has and will always be their for anyone, even the ones who turn the back on him. He loves each and everyone of us equally because we are all his children.

 

Prayer is a very important thing in my life. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have God to talk to at all times during the day. I don't understand how people get through life without God in their lives.

When God performs a miracle there is nothing like that feeling and you know only He could have done it.

 

Prayer is a very personal thing for me. People may pray in plain form, and for some it can be done by rote. There are so many ways and reasons that a person prays, and I can't say that any are wrong, but that most are right. I truly don't think that any way or reason is wrong. As long as you are able to communicate with your higher power, you will receive whatever answers are best for you individually.
