I have many different methods to earn income working online. I use websites, apps, and a part time job. One of my main resources for extra income is a subreddit called Beermoney. If you aren't familiar with Reddit, it is a message board online, it also has an app, with all kinds of topics. There is one subreddit, or category, called Beermoney. People like us post apps, websites and programs they use to earn extra money. Check it out!

Another resource I turn to for extra money is Amazon Mechanical Turk, or mTurk for short. It is a microtask site where you can perform all kinds of tasks like answering surveys, labeling images, tagging photos, playing a game and answering questions, etc. You complete tasks called HITs, human interaction tasks. Once you get your initial 1000 HITs completed with a good percentage of correctness, I have 97% correct, you start having access to higher paying HITs. I love mTurk because you can work anytime you want to, have your pay direct deposited, and work is usually always available. There are several websites you should check out and use along with mTurk. The first is mTurk List. It lists HITs available and their pay, what percentage you have to have to qualify, and you can check whether the HIT is dead or not. The next website is HITsWorthTurkingFor on Reddit, This provides the same info as mTurk list. You can also Google for other mTurk websites and forums that may help you get more out of mTurk.

Another resource I turn to for extra money is Focus Groups. I have done many focus groups, both in person and online. They pay extremely well. I have been paid anywhere from $75 for an hour's worth of my time, to $450 for a three day blog posting session. You can search on Craigslist, focusgroup.com, SurveySavvy, and a website called CoolWorkIdeas. They have tons of focus groups. You can also look on Twitter.

Just some ideas to get you guys making more money online!

Although having heard of Reddit, I never joined. Learning of the subreddit called Beermoney however, I'm persuaded. Thanks for the information!:) I would love to do more Focus groups (online) also! I don't have transportation so onsite is somewhat out of the question for me.

A growing number of sites will pay your articles or blog posts. Associated Content and Helium will ''pay for performance'' based on page views for just about anything you want to write about.

Thank you for sharing how you make money online. I also have an interest in doing focus groups. I never thought about searching on Craigslist for focus group opportunities. I am also going to take a look at CoolWorkIdeas. I never heard of this website. I am interested in seeing what online opportunities are available.

Personally, I don't make much money online but a great way of making money is by using GPT Sites.

    GPT - Get Paid To

Basically you do offers, surveys and watch videos etc

    Legitimate GPT Sites:

    earndoing.com
    superiorgpt.com
    centerofprizes.com
    ultimategpt.com
    get-paid.com
    mintvine.com
    freegpt.com

These sites have paid me and pretty much i've made more than about $45+

Also, check out interwar, it is a toolbar where you do tasks and you get paid

Thanks for that information. It will most likely help many online job seekers. I also want to caution that the net is filled with quack sites and examples include:-
    -SMS sending jobs
    -Email sending jobs
    -Form filling jobs etc.
Most of these jobs promise extravagant amounts of cash that is to say $25 per form filled or SMS sent, and adverts are usually exciting for unsuspecting victims. They are also usually in poor English. So,please avoid such.

I freelance, blog, and generally do anything related to writing. Writing is my talent and passion, its the only thing I really find worth doing. So, I write. Recently, I have started exploring a variety of new opportunities thanks to the beermoney subreddit already mentioned by the OP. I need the money. I use PTC sites like clixsense. I also write for iWriter. Now, I'm looking to be a part of the "Seeking Alpha" team - they pay writers $35 per accepted article, although they only want finance related articles, and I'm not a finance guy :)

Few PTC sites like clixsense , neobux and scarlet cliks-info ,
survey sites like opinion outpost, inbox dollars
forum posting like forum wheel , forum coin (at present beer money nation site is closed)
better to have your own website blogging.

These are great suggestions. Some of which I have not heard of before. I have been using Forum Coin and Postloop which have been good. I have just joined Forum Wheel and am still looking for more sites to make money at. I do surveys and use apps like Perk to get extra money. I love the PerkTV app which I let run all day on my phone and tablet. I have made quite a bit with this app and it is easy to do. I need more time in the day to check out all these different sites that I have been learning about but it is nice to get all the information.

I've enjoyed reading the contributions to this thread as I have not heard of everything mentioned and will have to check that stuff out. Right now, I'm doing writing on the site Textbroker as my main income. I think they accept only U.S. writers, and you have to submit a short sample of your writing to join. The pay kind of sucks, but if you get on "teams", you can make decent money. I do most of my writing on teams :)

Thank you for the information Hwiginton. These are the legitimate work at home ideas I've dabbled in. Affiliate marketing, web search evaluator, focus groups, incentivized freebie websites, user testing and the purchasing of an e-book on how to be a freelance email customer support agent.

The user testing websites I've gone to sounded very promising until I read in their frequently asked questions the tests are on a first come, first serve basis. And the focus groups are wonderful and pay very well if you get picked. For me it was always hard to get picked. The freelance email customer support agent also known as a virtual assistant looks like a consistant money maker.

After dabbling in these areas I've found for me it's best to find one you're excited about and think you have a talent for.

An addition to the various ways of how you can make money online. Register at Payco, get your affiliate link. Post it on your Facebook or twitter account then start encouraging your friends to register then Boom! You can check your PayCo wallet because you are already paid. How was that for an online money making?

Oh how I wish it were that easy. I've never been able to get anyone to join or even just look at anything. You'd think I was asking them to pull the pin from a grenade and sit on it. Referrals has not proved a way to earn for me. Oh I wish.....

PayCo affiliate here. @torreyy you should try it. Who knows? You might be the one who can bring Payco to your country and that means you can be a certified Master agent. Just try it. It's fun. Got nothing to loose.

Thank you for sharing. It’s very informative. From my experience, micro task, survey and PTC websites only work for those who live in the US, Canada, UK and Australia. For other people, there’s usually not enough opportunities on these sites. So far, the only PTC site that works for me is Ojooo, from which I cashed out about $28. It took me almost 2 months working every day to reach that and once I got the money I quitted immediately. I also worked on Microworkers and Clickworker, but I couldn’t find enough hits to do.

Appen, leapforce and lionbridge have some search engine/social media evaluator positions that pay $13.5/hour. I haven't tried that, but it’s recommended by some redditors and reviewing websites.

I think a practical way (and usually the first step) to make money online is to develop your skills in transcribing, copywriting, translating, programming, etc. and be a freelancer.
