There's a lot of people who can't stand listening to really loud music, even if it's their favorite artist/band. And on the other hand, there's people who can't stand listening to music at a low volume.
I think that I'm in the middle of those two options, sometimes I like my music really loud, but sometimes I can't stand it, I think that it actually depends on my mood and how busy I am at that time.

What about you? do you enjoy listening to music really loud?

I think I am in the same boat as you as far as sometimes I like a high volume and other times I enjoy medium levels but never soft volumes. Depends on the specific piece of music or what activities I am doing or not doing. Load music for workouts and medium volume for writing.

I've noticed when going into someone else's car and they have the volume up, that no matter what the song, that it's just too loud. But if I were to go into my car with the same volume level it is just fine. Weird.

It really depends on the mood I'm in if I'm upset or mad I'll have the music blaring up so loud the whole neighbourhood can hear it. If i just wanna listen to music its like in the middle, not to high or to low. When I'm going to bed if i want to listen to music i have it down really low but still high enough for me to hear. So yeah it really depends.

There are some genres that lend themselves more to loudness. Heavy metal for example is better if it is extremely loud and when I used to listen to this particular genre the music was very loud and I'd sing along.

Tastes change. I more into blues right now. They are slow, sad and they just have a different feel when the volume is low.
For me even if the volume was really low, I'll find the music kind of distracting and would for that reason be unable to sleep. Doesn't listening to music in bed make it harder for you to sleep?

I find loud music to be annoying even while in a studio environment where artists are recording. I cannot find value in listening to anything that literally hurts my ears and stirs my soul while playing. Loud music detracts from my listening enjoyment and makes it difficult for me to appreciate or even understand the artist's message if there is one. I prefer to listen to music at a reasonable volume so I can digest what the artist is saying and truly take it in.

For me, it depends on if I have a headache or what mood I'm in. If it's one of my favorite songs and I'm not feeling bad, I'll turn it up and jam out.

I personally dont like listening to music really loud. It gives me anxiety for some reason. I feel like im not able to focus on whatever task that im attending to. Im able to listen to music with my headphones just fine, but not out loud.

I would say for me the best is right around the medium spectrum. Growing up around a family that was divided straight between Hard Rock and Country means I got both loud and lower volumes. I can listen to any volume without problems and there are times I actually prefer one or the other.

The interesting thing is whether or not the volume matches the music being played. Some music just sounds better when listened to at a certain volume range.

In my younger days, I would usually crank up the volume when playing my favorite songs. I mostly love the noisy type songs, so it's classic rock, grunge and metal for me. But these days, I've mellowed down a bit and can't stand listening to loud songs. I think they have a term for this condition, it's called old age ;).

Only, if the music is pop or of rock genre.Otherwise, when I listen to themes of movies then I reduce the voice of my phone or laptop.Loud music is harmful for ear drums as it can make you deaf.Medium voice is better idea as you can listen songs of all genre and still enjoy listening to them.Device or headphone also play an important role affecting the ear drums so you should buy good headphones if you want to listen songs louder.

I like listening to good music loudly. I actually have this $2,000 stereo from the 80's that my dad bought in high school. They are absolutely huge, but the sound quality is still amazing. It's a shame they stopped making them so well.

The only time it's a bit of a bad thing, is when it shakes the house, because my house is seriously old as hell.

I used to, but I don’t anymore. It must be at least in part because I don’t live alone anymore, and having the music really loud is annoying if you want to talk to the other person in the apartment (we have a very small one).

Well, that basically just means I don’t listen to music as loud as I used to (except when my SO is away, then I turn the volume up :D But not way up, I still have neighbors to think about), not that I don’t still somewhat enjoy it, at least sometimes (like if I’m at a friend’s place on a Friday or Saturday evening...).

I do listen to loud music but it depends on what genre that I would be listening to. But somehow I need to consider my mood when it comes to hitting the volume in maximum, because there are times that I would play rock music really loud to put me to sleep. Which is kind of crazy or weird to others, but does work.

Good thing earphones has been discovered for people like me that want their music playing in full blast. ;)

Oh yes! I am a loud listener. It's not the best thing for my ears, but I don't really care. Music isn't right for me, if it isn't loud.
I have to bury myself in every note, or else i won't enjoy it! I love MUSIC!

I would go to sleep listening to music. My earphones would be in and sometimes whenever I was long gone (as in deep sleep), the music would still be playing.

I don't do it anymore due to religion but I did all the time because I liked it and it would put visuals in my head that would make me relax whenever I felt tense.

Music is always better louder. Especially with those big speakers, boom boxes and high powered ones. I love it when you can feel it in your heart and it just vibrates throughout your body.

It doesn't depend for me but I'm always tired all the time so the louder the music, the more it wakes me up.

I listen to music really loud all the time! But I wear my headset so I do not bother anyone. However, I think it is good to have a balance, since there's certain music you can listen to very low, and there are songs filled with energy you need to listen to very loud so that you can feel the beat and the rythm. It depends on the person actually, in the end, the idea is to have fun and enjoy the music.

Of course, who don't like listening to music very loud?
When I do that, I feel happy and free and.. I think it's a teenager thing.
Music keeps you from your thoughts, makes you more relaxed and less stressed. I really love music!

I do enjoy my music loud but not as loud as my husband. he blasts it so loud that you can hear it outside of the house with the doors close. it also depends on the song too.
