Lil Wayne and Drake are both good at dropping cool freestyles but lately Drake has proven to be far much better than Lil Wayne who introduced him to hiphop under his record label.Drake has mastered rap skills while on the other hand Lil Wayne knows how to deliver punch lines.Between Drake and Lil Wayne who do you think deserves to be given the tittle best rapper alive?

Is this really a question?! In my opinion Drake is much better than Lil' Wayne; because most of the time Lil' Wayne doesn't have very good content in his music. Although Drake does have many song writers helping him develop music that is relatable and actually "make sense" he is much better. I'm honestly not sure if Lil' Wayne has help writing his songs, it doesn't really show with his rhymes and wording to be honest but if he does he needs to get new song writers.

Neither of them are the best rapper alive in my opinion. Eminem is.

Drake and Lil Wayne have totally different styles of rapping and different demographic/ age groups to appeal to. It is very hard to compare them against each other. They are both talent in their own right, though.

Drake has really lost is rapping style awhile ago. I tend to enjoy his music when he first started than now. Lil Wayne has a different style than drake by far and half the time I can barley understand what he is saying. I personally think Eminem is the one and only rap god.

Both artists are amazing and it is difficult to say which rapper is better. Both artists offer different styles. Drake is a really good rapper but Wayne offers a 'Rock star' experience like no other. Lil Wayne has been around before Drakes career and will be here after Drakes career. LilWayne offers his unique New Orleans rap style to his audience. Drake is both a fan of rap music and hip hop and is a great rapper. In my opinion Lil Wayne is the better overall well rounded rap artist.

To be honest, I think that Drake is better. This is only my opinion because Lil Wayne's style is quite slow, lazy and sometimes...quite demonic but like I said, it's just my opinion. Drake is just quick with it and he also gives great comebacks too.

You know: My ex ask me, "Where you moving?" I said, "On to better things." ~ 10 Bands. Drake is sharp and has rhythm. I'm not saying that Lil Wayne doesn't have rhythm, it's just that there are some things he's not good at which is kind of a major turn off...for me.

I personally think that Drake has overtaken Lil Wayne in the rap industry by far nowadays, but this does not mean that drake is the best rapper alive.I can't even think of Drake or Lil Wayne being on top of Kendrick Lamar or Eminem in the list of the best.I love the way Drake is flexible in almost everything be it rapping or singing. He tends to adapt to the new style of music and that is what keeps him on top of the charts

They are both good rappers but I prefer Drake. I mean Lil Wayne raps are dope, but he doesn't get in touch with my feelings like Drake does. I love Drake style of music. He made himself unique without caring what others think of him. Lil Wayne was smart when he signed Drake to Young Money.

I would have to go with Drake being better than Lil Wayne. I mean all you need to do is listen to Back To Back. I can listen to that dis record all day. Lil Wayne is alright but he's gone for so long he is forgettable sometimes.

Well in all honesty, neither of them are the best rapper alive. I can't believe you'd put them in that realm, I really can't. Drake is accused of using a ghost writer & even if he didn't, he still wouldn't be the best rapper alive. As for Lil Wayne, I like him as a rapper but he's not even top 5, maybe not even top 10. All in all, I like Drake & Lil Wayne as artists but they have no business being mentioned as the best rapper alive, period.

Both of them deserves the best. They have done their best to give good music. There are some of the things that neglects them from mentioning the best. As far I listen to both of them, I never gets to the result of mentioning best to one of them. They are both great in different lane. Drake raps about love, life, and many more things but, Lil Wayne is still in the old school like rapping about money, weed and sex.
It's very hard to name the title after them in two because they have been in this rap since long time.

I know Lil Wayne is better than Drake. His rhyming skills and wordplay is genius! Drake is all right but he just can not be compared to Wayne when it comes to rapping. Most people nowadays say Drake is better but I think it is just because it is his 'time'. If you can remember how big Wayne was in 2008/2009 when he was at the pick of his career, then you will agree he is better. Drake is no competition when it comes to Lil Wayne.

I think Drake is way more sophisticated when it comes to rapping. Lil Wayne is great at making puns in his lyrics, but there is little substance in his words. On the other hand Drake has layers. His performances are also more alluring than that of Lil Wayne. Both entertaining rappers. but hands down I choose Drake

I think Drake is more lyrical, and conservative. I love how he can switch it up from R&B and Rap all in one song! He gets in tune with the ladies more as well! Lil Wayne is a wonderful rapper and has some great hits don't get me wrong, yet Drake is a little more soft, and graceful in his music.

Neither of these rappers are the greatest alive. Rap music these days is complete trash, the lyrics have no meaning anymore. The only thing that is keeping these rappers relevant is the beats they are rapping to. The greatest rapper alive right now is Eminem.

Sounds like you already made up your mind. Drake is my favorite, hands down. I grew up listening to Lil Wayne, most of the time he raps about crap but i still respect his game. Either way, Drake will always be his apprentice.

This is more controversial than religion and politics, haha...

No I don't think Drake is the best rapper. Is he even a rapper? His songs are so dull and mundane and I feel like I haven't even heard him rapping at all. He was simply in the right place at the right time. He is one of those "fame babies" that somehow get rich by a producer bumping into him in an LA restaurant or something.

Did you know he has ghost writers for all his music? He doesn't write the lyrics. Imagine a television show, such as Family Guy, or the Simpsons, and imagine the team of writers that make the episodes, that is similar to what Drake uses. He is an icon, meant to bring in money for the label managers.

Anyone can be an icon they just have to be lucky. Drake will get used up and will eventually fall off the radar. I mean look at Justin Bieber, nobody shut up about him for 2 years and now you hardly notice he exists anymore. Arianna Grande is also falling off the radar, she is a nick TV actress that attracted teenage boys with her looks, and her bad voice was autotuned by experienced producers, but the boys are growing up and she is practically non existent.

Drake is not the best rapper by a long shot, he is hardly a musician.
