I’ve always somehow abhorred silence so you could say that yes, I’m addicted to music. The first thing I do when I get home is turn on the music (sometimes even before taking off my shoes or coat :D). I just cannot stand a silent apartment.

Music is also really important to me in other ways, like invoking emotions, which it does a lot. I have a hard time explaining this to my spouse, who doesn’t ”feel” music almost at all (he doesn't mind me listening to music, in fact he barely acknowledges it usually). Music has been such a big part of my life since I was a kid that I find it hard to understand him and people like him sometimes.

I think that I am, but in a good way. I tend to use music more and more as a sort of mood adjuster, and so in that sense it is getting to be more and more a part of my general routine. It works too, and whether you need to get pumped up for something or need to calm down and relax, you can just switch the music around you and watch things progress the way you want them to. It is not always this smooth, of course, but it works better than a lot of other approaches.

Music is practically a part of me. I cannot go a day without listening to it. I tried to give it up twice due to my religion but before I knew it, I ended up with twice as more songs downloaded on my phone as there was before.

What I say is that I live music because whatever I do I will always do it while listening to music...even when studying and sleeping. It just makes me who I am and I'm afraid that when the time goes I won't be able to let it go.
