I play the guitar since I was 12, now my age is 24. Actually I don't have many time to keep practicing but make my own music makes me feel great. I'm not the best guitar player but I really know is one of my passions in life.

Best Regards for all the guitar players in this forum.

I used to play the bassoon and clarinet in high school. The bassoon was my main instrument, but the clarinet was for marching band. Since bassoon players are pretty rare, I got to perform in pit orchestras and college music festivals.

I haven't played either in a while, but I wouldn't mind starting again. I might pick a different instrument if I do.

Music has always been a huge part of who I am, in all honesty. I've been singing since almost before I could talk, and although I've never taken any vocal lessons, I'm told I'm pretty good at it.

I wrote my first song when I was eleven, titled "Don't Wanna Travel With The Crowd', because of course at the time I was convinced I was some sort of lone wolf and I fancied myself a cool kid because of it. Now, by "wrote my first song", I really just mean I had come up with some lyrics to sing to a little tune I'd made up.

It wasn't until more recently that I picked up an instrument (besides the recorder). Two years ago, I got a guitar as a present from my papavero (my grandpa), and ever since then I've been teaching myself how to play, with the help of google, lots of chord sheets, and youtube videos. Now I'm a singer-songwriter who plays a tiny bit of guitar to accompany her singing.

I play the drumset in the church. I started learning how when I was eight. I still remember the weird looks I was given because I am a girl as if anybody set any rule that only boys can beat the drums. I also used get cramps on my shoulder, but the overall learning experience was really great and exciting.

Our home always had a piano and a guitar in it as I was growing up and I taught myself to play both instruments at an early age. Someone showed me where "middle C" was on the keyboard and also what a staff and treble clef meant and I taught myself to read music and apply that to the piano. Though I was likely not using the correct keyboard fingering. I still enjoyed it.

I learned guitar chords from piano books which had them listed above the staff and I would copy them onto paper to help me memorize them. I learned the notes on the guitar after someone told me the assigned note of each string and how to tune it using harmonics. The frets I found were just like the keys on the piano, so that was a "no brainer."

In elementary school, I became excited when they introduced us to band instruments, and I taught myself to play several songs on the clarinet before my first formal class. A few years after that, I taught myself the flute and went straight into the intermediate band in the 8th grade with it. I also continued clarinet in the advanced band.

I've been playing guitars for about 5 years now, but it's very difficult for me to create my own music, so i mostly play my favorite songs.

I play the guitar. I started when I was 11 years old and now I'm turning sixteen.

Playing guitar has always been my passion since I grew up listening to my brother and my cousins playing it. Now that I'm older I could say that I'm pretty good. I just wish that I could get into a band so I could benifit from my passion.

There is an art of playing flute inside me. I have never learned to play flute from anybody. I can play a lot of songs on the flute. When I was in college, I used to impress all friends by flute playing. I play mouth organ too well. Music is in my heart. Whenever I hear good tune, I am lost. Playing music instrument is a very good experience. It gives a lot of peace to the brain. We reach a different world. Playing flute has decreased due to lack of time.

I just recently started learning how to play the guitar. I bought one for a bargain price at our local music store. I'm still not that good at it and I use a computer program to tune my guitar. I watch youtube tutorial videos of songs to help me learn how to play. I recommend watching for3v3rfaithful's how to videos on youtube. She makes easy tutorials of popular songs.

I started to learn the drums when I was in middle school, so I've been playing for close to 10 years now, which seems like an eternity! I quit playing for a while when I moved into an apartment and had to give up my set, but now that I'm in a house and have my own kit again, I'm playing on a regular basis.

I'm very glad to see that I haven't lost too much of what I know about drumming to time!

I play the piano! I have been learning since the age of 12 and took my ABRSM grade 8 practical by 15. It was an interesting journey for me. I wasn't exposed to classical music until my friend introduced some composers for me to read about them and listen to their music. Since then, I really liked classical music and love playing the piano.

I took piano lessons for years as a child, and though I can still play a little, I wish I had stuck with it. At the time, I was doing it to please my parents and not for any real love of music on my own part. However, the older I get, the more I regret my lack of practice and general disinterest in the lessons.

My daughter plays both piano and guitar with no pressure from me, but I definitely hope she sticks with it into adulthood. Playing and instrument can be a wonderful creative outlet and a great way to spend your time.

I play the drum set and the piano. Growing up as a kid, my dad will take me and my siblings to this music class during the holidays, at weekends. There used to be this man who thought music to children and that lived a few streets away from our house. He has a studio near his house where he thought us to play any instrument we are interested in. instruments like the piano, guitar, drum set, and saxophone too.

I was always angry any time it was music class. This happened a few times, but after a while, I started seeing myself wanting to go for music class without being made to do so by any one. I was glued to the drum set and the piano ever since till my adulthood. I now play these instruments at some selected social functions for pleasure and also at home sometimes. I play these instruments very easily and with style. I later came to know why my dad did this while I was a kid. It was to keep me positively engaged on an activity during the holidays instead of doing nothing. And he was spot on.

I've been playing the piano for over a decade now, classically trained. I have fellow pianist friends, all of them pop-inclined, and while they have played for less years, they sound absolutely amazing. They can improvise on spot, hop on the seat and accompany whatever's playing on the speakers and make it look so effortless.

I'm planning to switch over to pop for a couple of months soon. Whipping out elaborate chords without stumbling around the keys in the middle of party is my goal :)

I really had no luck in learning any stringed instruments like guitar or the piano and the violin. Maybe I was not born for it or it's just not meant for me. I tried playing the guitar back in high school, but I just couldn't make it, so I quit. And from then on, I never tried to play any instruments at all. But if ever, given the chance, I really love to learn how to play the guitar. Cause it looks so cool, and yeah, I think it's a girl magnet. Anyone who can play the guitar is certainly likeable especially among girls.
