Global warming is an underlying monster

Global warming is said to be on a steady rise.This sends chills down the spines of many scientists tasked to come up with a tangible solution for it.We need a solution,and we need it fast.Carbon emmision solely contributes to this deteriorating condition.Earth is threatened by severe natural calamities if a solution won't be found anytime soon.

 

I agree with Patrickrop. Due to Global warming the ice has melted in the North Pole of the Earth. This induces the swelling of the waters of the Seas and Oceans located near the North Pole. Due to this increase in water level many coastal countries and lands are threatened with floods. If this process goes on the size of the land mass of the earth decreases gradually.

 

It is very much true that the continuous unchecked global warming might create havoc on the earth. The melting of ice in the poles increases the level of water in the oceans which may create floods in coastal regions. The water-land ratio of the earth will be disturbed, which also affects the Climate cycle of the earth environment and hence the living creatures will also be affected.

An immediate check in causes of global warming is extremely important. All the governments and environmental friendly NGOs eof this globe should come ahead to solve this problem.

I cannot emphasise more the need for an individual to wake up and play a role in undoing what it has done to destroy the world. It is the individual that has been irresponsible and the bad results are showing.

There are so many areas where an individual can help resolve issues be it saving water and energy, taking care of garbage and spreading the message how only an individual can save the world.

All those grandiose ideas that so many countries are talking about will not work if individuals do not wake up.

It is a wake-up call to everyone!
We can for sure see and tell its (global-warming) effects as we see the climate worsening, experienced severe drought arising in most parts of the world, stronger hurricane frequencies and the shocking rise of the see-level. It's the same global-warming that is recently causing shorter/ longer seasons lately and affecting our Agriculture since plants and the crops we plant are finding it difficult to survive on the recent high temperatures and heat experienced in these recent years. This plants extinction high-rate is also decreasing our population and bringing about the economic collapse (as a long-term effect). It's time we individually take action to this, by the recommended ways to reverse the situation such as planting more trees and attending helpful seminars discussing the matter to learn more on how to curb this serious effect!

 

I do not worry about these things. The truth is you cannot stop what is going to happen. God has a plan and a reason for everything that happends. This comment may offend alot of people who do not believe in god.

 

Global warming is real. If you haven't experience the change in climatic conditions, melting of ice and the rise of temperatures in some parts of the continent. Then, you are not living in this planet. We need to prevent a looming disaster. If we destroy our planet, were we will get another one. The globe is heating up. Both land and oceans are warmer now than record-keeping began in 1880, and temperatures are still ticking upward. We as humans need to to do something about it. I believe the biggest thing we can do is plant more trees, kids should know more about the plantation and make it more of a hobby instead. Secondly, Governments all around the world needs to help simple people get electric vehicles by making them more cheaper for them, removing import taxes on them.Last but not least produce renewable energy and don't take out any further oil. In the end, Paris agreement must be respected and followed.

 

Not to everyone. The fact is that many people live in the here-and-now and for many people nothing matters more than money. It is one of the reasons Trump is President. There are people who believe having coal mining jobs available to uneducated white males is more important than 0.1F in global warming. Or that being able to drive an SUV and feel safe now is more important than a few icebergs melting. People in the USA in particular have always lived by kicking the can down the road.. things like social security and our national debt are also both time-bombs that we know are going to explode, but we are more than happy to forget about them as long as the explosion is not today. The same is true for a lot of environmental issues. Houston is flooded, but do you think any of the oil billionaires are suddenly going to start talking about global warming?

Global warming has lots of negativities,in fact I don't see any positive related to it. Think of the high temperatures experienced today,rise in sea levels and threats to our beautiful snowcapped mountains.
Its high time that scientists come up with a lasting solution to this problem. The cause of global warming is the release of green house gases such as CO2 and SO2.
These gases are produced when we burn petroleum products as fuels.
A time has come when we should embrace the production and using biofuels on our engines otherwise global warming will continue threatening human life.
Who knows when the protective ozone layer will be completely depleted??

 

Global warming is real now a days. Our country also suffers drought and sometimes flood. The temperature now is elevated compared before. May this problem will be solved but I do not know what it will be because not all people are cooperating to lessen the effect of global warming. Some governments still allow the use of coal for electricity while solar energy is possible. Old vehicles are still running on the streets. The smoke emitted are so destructive. There are many causes of global warming. Will all people realize its effect and start preventing it even at household ?

 

I've been to Antarctica last February and it was truly amazing beyond human words. I don't want to sleep and take my break time because if I go inside the ship I know I would be missing something great. There are happy creatures living in there peacefully and we've seen that with our own eyes. Truly that place is spectacular and I never imagined that I will be able to see that in my lifetime. Sadly I look for photos of Antarctica to check the places we've been and I found out that the whole place had gone a drastic change from the past. We are all experiencing global warming but most of us do not notice the changes happening to places where average people could not visit and it's far more terrible.

 

Everything on this thread is true, Global Warming is a serious threat to our world and different countries must take action. Sadly laws nowadays are still not strong enough to slow down climate change. While the laws are still weak, we must be the ones to take the initiative in helping our world to become cleaner and brighter for the future generations. One example of helping our world is proper waste management like segregation and composting. Overall we must all take the first step in saving Mother Earth, let us take the initiative before it is too late.

 

Global warming is one serious situation that all nations must all agree to act upon. Because all peoples around the world are affected and no one can be spared if Mother Nature will unleash its wrath back to us. Sadly, not all of us are even aware of the extent of the danger that global warming poses. Therefore, the governments must enforce to educate the people of the role that each one of us play in the destruction of our environment.

Are people aware that their household products can contribute to the thinning of the ozone layer that protects us from the ultra violet rays from the sun that causes skin cancer? Why is it that there are still manufacturing companies which are allowed to use coal in their operations? Why is garbage segregation not strictly implemented in most communities?

The governments cannot fully impose the law on us. But let's not all be apathetic regarding this matter and begin changing our ways and be responsible in taking care of our environment.

 

I live in Eastern Europe and it is a living hell here in the summer. Year after year it gets hotter and hotter. This past summer the heat wave lasted for 3 weeks. The temperatures were around 40 degrees Celsius/104 degrees Fahrenheit. I am telling you, guys, it was unbearable! I was drinking 4 big bottles of water a day, because I was always dehydrated due to sweating.

Winters are getting more mellow, as well. I don't remember a warmer winter than this one, at least in Bulgaria where I live. It's sunny and warm, it feels like spring.

Global warming is causing all kinds of disasters worldwide. Floods, drоught, hurricanes, tornadoes - they have happened before the global warming, but nowadays they are much more common and severe. If something isn't done in the near future, this planet is will die because of the actions of its inhabitants.
