I am just curious to know has anyone's prayers come true? Have you ever prayed for something specific and actually received it? I believe in prayer and I'm actually planning on getting more books on the subject of prayer. What did you feel when you prayed?

Yes Prayer Works!!I have had several prayers of mine answered. You have to get to know God for yourself and form a relationship with him. Once you do that praying will be easy to do; i often find myself praying on the bus and subway, also when I'm walking. The scriptures tells us to mediate on his word day and night and this is important. When you pray your mind should be focus only on God, you will feel his presence once you tap into that spiritual rim where you lose yourself in praising him. Its awesome to pray; you must be receptive and keep the faith that he hears you.

Prayers work. But there workings are different. Some instantly, others later and still others never really work as intended. But all in all trusting in God for whatever the outcome is the best working of prayers.

I too believe that things you may wish for may come to be through prayers aslong as you have the faith in it. I'm a believer and as a Christian i can stand tall and proudly show what i have achieved through prayers. Many people dont really believe that there's such a thing like prayer but if given the right understanding and knowledge of the importance of praying, they will surely change and become believers too.

Yes prayers work. however, when we make a prayer with expectation to God or a specific deity, such as asking for a job or overcoming an illness, our prayers are answered by lower-level deities or lower positive energies. Let us take the example of a person who has prayed intensely for a job. If it is in the person’s destiny to be without a job for five years, then the lower positive energy or the lower-level deity can answer the prayer by pushing out this five year jobless period to somewhere later in the person’s life. Thus, the person still has to go through a phase of being jobless. (This is because regardless of anything, one has to undergo one’s destiny and it can only be overcome by one’s spiritual practice.)

The power of prayer is absolutely incomparable to anything. It showers you with an immense sense of tranquility. The best time for me to pray is deep in the night. As Muslims we strongly believe that subjecting yourself to prayer during the peak time of the night, God will shower you with His blessings. Prayer has gotten me out of so many situations that looking back, I can only say ''yes HE did that'' :)

The question of the legitimacy of prayer is possibly as old as religion itself. Often, the frustration arises from confusing the art of prayer with the act of wishing. Prayer is a form of internal communication with external results, while wishing is simply asking for something without applying the will to make it happen.

The focus of prayer, as opposed to wishing, should not necessarily be to cause anything to happen. Instead, prayer is the language that we use to communicate within ourselves. A way to calm the inward storm so that we can sail the outward seas. When the prayer is aligned with proper purpose, it, just like any other form of communication, always works.

A million times!!! Nothing works better than a prayer. Being a catholic I concentrate so Much on the 'Novena' .They are many but depending on your need you can choose which suits you. Prayers work.

Prayers work, but only if you are a true believer and only if you pray from the bottom of your heart! I did pray for me to finding a new job, and I did, and this was not the only time when my pray was heard. If you believe and have a clean soul, a good heart, God will hear your prayers and will help you every time you will ask Him!

I believe in prayer not only as a form of communication with God but also as a a form of connection.I believe that whatever we ask of Him in faith He will be able to fulfill it irrespective of the time and urgency at the moment.
