What Makes You Want to Watch a Movie More Than Once?

For me, I will watch movies more than once if they have good storylines and can attached me emotionally that makes me feel like I am one of the character in the movies. I am a person that easy to cry, so, if a movie can makes me cry hard, I will definitely watch it again. For example, Hindustan movies (Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gham and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai).

For another genre will be action or something that includes fighting mode in it (kungfu, karate, taekwando, etc) that brings me excitementment to cheer up on the fight. For examples, Chinese and Thailand Kungfu Movies (Chocolate, Ip Man 1-3, etc).

 

The movie that I will watch more than once, is a movie that has a great story, a catching climax and an appealing actors and actresses. I watch movies all the time and once I like the plot of the movie, that's the time I'm gonna need a copy because for sure I'm gonna watch it again.

 

Most movies that I watch all over again are either mind blowing ones like Donnie Darko, I watch these type of films so I can fully understand the movie. The same thing happened when I watched Man From Earth, I really needed to watch it again since I wasn't paying attention to every detail. The next type of movies that I watch a lot of times would be good comedy movies. A lot of people do not like The Dictator, but I find the lines from the movie hilarious so I watched it for a lot of times. The last ones would be good action movies with good casts like The Fast and the furious movies.

 

I love adventure movies. Especially those movies that keep you at the edge of the seat.I could repeat such movies everday if i could. The characters are also important. If I feel a connection to a character or characters, I could repeat a movie just to feel that connection again.

 

The same reason people read books more than once, or listen to music more than once, eat a variety of food more than once. I do enjoy the story/performance/etc.

Often, I see things on a reviewing that you missed the first time around. I aren't focused on the plot as much the second time, so I can look at other aspects of the movie.I love it when being watched again.
Everytime I watch the movie, my mood is slightly different, and see the movie with another perspective and see the new angle.
With every viewing I learn more about the movie.

 

The Soundtrack along with a great script is the only reason I use for watching movies more than once. It can also be a useful source of background noise when doing chores around the house --- much better than the radio.

 

Well, I would say the storyline of thy movie. If it tickles something in me,then I would watch it more than once. A movie that identifies with want could be going on in my life at a particular time can be watched more than once just to draw inspiration from it. Another major thing that can make me me watch a movie more than once is the major starring character.I have got favorites.If I come across one by Denzel Washington, then I can watch it numerous times.He is nh favorite.

 

Well, i remember when I watched my favorite movie, again and again, my parents keep yelling at me telling that I should stop watching the same movie because it will never change the ending or storyline. It's funny that I don't mind them and keep watching the movie all over again.

The main reason why I keep watching this movie is because of the story content. Imagine the unexpected twist and awesome special effects combining together. In addition, the actors and actresses played their role effectively to the point that I was carried away. There are lots of movies around there but that's my standard for the movie to make me watch it all over again.

 

The one thing that makes me watch movies over and over again, is the memories that are attached to them. For example, I continuously watch "Fat Albert," because it reminds me of my family coming together and laughing.

 

If I had watched the movies before reading the book.

Like the case of Harry Potter, I had watched the first few movies without reading the books. I went back to read the books, which were very good, a year later and this made me want to see what was the difference between the books and the film

 

In all honesty, there are many features of a movie that makes me want to watch it again. However, this depends on the genre of the movie. For example, if it is a Rom-Com, I watch it to relive the romance scenes again, because, as a single woman, I like the idea of romance and seeing the (almost) unrealistic portrayal of romance in the movies and continue to aspire to be like them. But if we are talking horror, I watch the movie again to grasp the details and see if I was missing something the first time when watching it. For action movies, I just really like watching the climax scenes, where the protagonist battles the antagonist. And finally, for comedies, I really appreciate the punch lines and would not mind hearing them over and over again.
