I believed that we all know the meaning of computer and the numerous work that computer is performing in our society today. So for this reason, I will like us to discuss the main criteria one looks into when purchasing a computer.

Based on the above question, I will like to state the following factors one has to consider before purchasing a computer which are as follows:
    - Cost of the computer.
    - The manufacturer.
    - The input and output devices.
    - Processor speed.
    - Temporary and Permanent storage devices.
    - Programming language.
    - Flexibility and Compatibility.
    - Software Availability.
    - Maintanance and repair.
Anyone that has anything to contribute outside the one stated above are free to do so.

All these are great criteria, but in my opinion, your criteria should be based on what you plan to do with the computer in the first place.
Do you plan on using it for graphics design or animation? Will you primarily use it for internet browsing? Or will you only use it for documents and data processing?
All these questions should determine what criteria you use when you choose your computer.

Yes, you are right. Another criterion to choosing your PC is portability. If you plan to use your pc on the go, then a laptop or tablet might be the best choice depending what you will be using it for. If you plan on managing the social media on the go, then go for a tablet. But for typing and document editing, a laptop will serve better. If on the other hand, the PC would be used in the office or kept at a stationery place at home, then a desktop computer would serve better.
