Personally I think Intelligence quotient tests are misleading and do not accurately reflect intelligence.

Came across an article that scientists claim our intelligence can only be determined by three separate tests which include: short term memory, reasoning and verbal skills.

    Rossy.

I completely agree with you here that I.Q. tests are not the full measure of one's basic intelligence.
For one thing, I think there are many different types of emotional, spiritual, and creative intelligences which these tests do not even come close to measuring. All of us, based on a variety of factors, have completely different ways of approaching problem-solving situations, and to just pigeon-hole someone's capabilities with a standardized test, to me, is a very limited way of approaching human potential.

I concur; With your statement rossy, Personally, I don't think a computer is capable enough to 'measure' human intelligence.

So, apart from saying that IQ Test is not sufficient, I am also saying the same about any other test that claims.

Well, let us not confuse this with the fact that IQ tests can measure analytical and interpretational intelligence of a human.

Moreover, whosoever designed the IQ Test did not take into account that intelligence is not just an asset of the educated. It is a part of humanness. Far beyond measure.

This is my opinion on the matter.

In my opinion no because every human is different from an other , so an IQ test if difficult to reflect indelligence.

Believe that IQ test is a reflection of the knowledge unused by our everyday methods of thinking.
thus that is the misleading part of the known to be able to measure the unknown, Which is the
reasoning for the test in the first place. Those who do get very high scores on IQ test does not mean
they are smarter or more gifted, just have a unique way of thinking and insensible method of putting
and taking apart problems or questions to give the unseen answer.

Human is the most intelligent being that has ever existed. The computer is built by human and without human intelligence, it is completely useless.

I agree with you Rossy, IQ test do not give accurate results about one's intelligence.

Intelligence is measured over time. Some people can be very smart with IQ but lacks long term intelligence.

Yes. IQ tests reflects Intelligence, period. But intelligence can be divided into 3 parts; mental intelligence, emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence. The IQ test i have come across only tests mental intelligence.
May be they are yet to invent tests for emotional and spiritual intelligence, I am just thinking out loud.

There are far more area-specific tests that provide a better understanding of mental function, than the usual I tests. Not all people with super high IQ's are run the world. In fact, are they always successful?

We need to ask ourselves what we value more - intelligence or success.

IQ test is really made to test your intelligence. The exam was formed in 1912. The main reason why this test was formed is because they need to have a way to classify people according to their intelligence. This worked during that period because not all are able to go to school. Today, this might not be an appropriate because we have a high percentage of people studied in school.
