Come on! No matter how old we are there is still a kid within us all either we accept it or not. I am on my early thirties but I am very proud to say that I am still fond of watching cartoons. In my own personal perspective, having this cartoons in your senses bring back the happy childhood in you.

Most recent I watched with my kids was 'The Baby Boss'. And we watched it over and over again. To name a few, I also love Moana, Home, Despicable Me, Hotel Transylvania and Zootopia.

There are cartoons for adults as well, and some of them are better than most live action shows! Obviously shows like Spongebob Squarepants and Fairly Odd Parents cater to people of all ages and there are jokes there for kids as well as adults, but shows like Archer or the Netflix favorite Bojack Horseman take comedy as well as personal drama to a new level. And of course classics like The Simpsons and South Park are there to remind us all not to take life too seriously.

Yes! You and me both, sister. I don't have kids though. Couldn't help the weird glances I get when I showed up to the premiere of Trolls alone, more excited than the 7-year-old next to me. Haha.

And of course, there's Spongebob Squarepants, Fairly Odd Parents etc... but you still gotta love the classics. You know, Atlantis, Litte Mermaid, and Ratatouille.

Oh I would definitely watch cartoons even when I'm Fifty, old and grey. I totally love cartoons, there's so much wisdom in them and I don't have to worry about kids being around to watch it even though I don't have kids of my own.

One of my favorite of all times would be Lion King and it's great teachings of love, unity and oneness. I can even say the lines. I love Moana so much too, the music was way to go.

I remember when myself and a couple of friends went to see baby boss, just like Rowzers said, people were amazed because we were the only group of adults. It was so much fun.

Cartoon is not only for kids although there are some that doesn’t appeal to adults. I don’t usually watch cartoons but after watching a cartoon named “The Sorceress” with my kids, I then knew that there are quite some cartoons adults can watch. The little boy named Kirikou was an amazing child who did all he could to deliver his village from the hands of the Sorceress, it was quite an interesting cartoon.

Actually cartoon initially was for adults instead of children. From the 1920s to 1960s, theatrical cartoons usually shown before a feature film in a movie theater. In the late 1950s, competition from television drew audiences away from movie theaters, and the theatrical cartoon began its decline. It was a truly happy time for the whole family seat together to watch cartoons in TV. Then cartoons were produced in more types and huge numbers. Gradually, there more and more TV cartoons were produced for children. Afterwards, cartoons is considered for children. Today, some people still hold the opinion that cartoons is only for children when there are a range types of cartoons for everyone on the planet.

Yes.I absolutely agree with the fact that cartoons are not meant only for kids .It is we who stereotyped it on the basis of age.I am 18 and at times this inner child which is hiding inside of me just comes out.For example:I'll be watching HBO channel on T.V,all of a sudden I'll develop a desire to watch Tom and Jerry(which is my all time favorite),so I'll switch the channel immediately to Cartoon Network-which leads to receiving odd looks from my family members, especially my sisters. But I don't give a damn for it.

Cartoons aren't for kids only. At the age of 23, I still watch cartoons on tv. I just love feeling being a kid again. Seeing the graphics and the art of cartoons now compared to before, it really is different. I enjoy comparing of what I have seen in the past to now. Watching cartoons unleashes the inner child in me and the kid in me that wants a life with no worries.

You sound just like me.I'm glad to know that I'm not the only grown up who watches cartoons. You are so right.Cartoons do bring out the inner child inside of us .Watching cartoons also takes me down the memory lane bringing to mind all my childhood memories, thus leading to a nostalgic feeling

Of course not. Cartoons are for every age. Even me, I watch cartoons sometimes. It relaxes me and make me in a good mood. Cartoons are the perfect way to be distracted and be less serious like we normally are in our daily life.

I love to watch the old cartoons like Bugs Bunny, Betty Boop, Heckle and Jeckle, and Mickey Mouse before it became the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I also like the movies Home, Hotel Transylvania and Lego Batman. Cartoons are a great distraction!

I like to believe that cartoons just like movies are for all categories of people, whether young or old. The most important thing is the massage. Most people believe that cartoons are for kids because the charactors through which information is passed are not human(Scoobe doo, Spongebob, Mickey Mouse etc ) hence their ability to speak and do things that humans do makes it look imaginary and unreal and as such adults(who are knowledgeable) watching should not enjoy it. but this notion is wrong, cartoons are for everyone.

Age doesn't matter in terms of watching cartoons. Adults also watched cartoons. Watching cartoons makes adults entertained and reminisce those childhood years.

I think most of us can agree that cartoons aren't just for kids. I too like to watch them as they bring back childhood memories of sitting in front of the television enjoying them with all of the family. I also have fond memories of going to the cinema with my mom and sisters to watch the full length movie cartoons. Not long ago The Aristocats was aired on television. I just simply had to watch it. Fantastic!

What I am finding now, is that some popular cartoons of today are most definitely not suited to children. The Family Guy and American Dad come to mind. What are your views?

Yes, it definitely is ! Some films are ok for adults to watch like the computer animated films. I think if it has an adult theme then it is ok but if it is rated G and intended for children, I guess once in awhile but do I think this should be a normal occurence...no. Adults should watch adult films and children cartoons. I find it unattractive when a grown adult is watching cartoons all the time...I see it as a sign of not being able to cope with reality. Adults have to face reality and handle what comes their way unlike children. It is ok to have fun once in awhile but please join the real world like the rest of us for the majority of the time.

I used to love cartoons when I was a kid! I don't know if cartoons have changed a lot over the years or if I've changed over the years, but I don't enjoy the new cartoons as much as I still enjoy the old cartoons. Of course, there are exceptions, like the older Spongebob Squarepants cartoons. Those made me laugh out loud!

I guess there are a few cartoons from when my boys were little that I found amusing, like "The Emporer's New Groove" or even "Arthur." But, all in all, there are no cartoons quite as good as the ones I grew up on, at least in my humble opinion.

It doesn't matter if you're a teenager or an adult, just watch what you enjoy watching. If someone judges you for being an adult who watches cartoons then that person probably isn't worth your time. Also, there are cartoons that are made specifically for adults like Family Guy and some animated movies like Toy Story that are made with adults in mind.
