When I was younger, I used to go swimming everyday, even if it was cold, and this helped me lose a lot of weight. Time has gone by and I'm back to being fat. I've tried diets and some exercises, but nothing seems to work. How can I lose weight quickly? Is there a certain exercise?

The quickest way to lose weight would be to reduce your calorie intake and exercise a lot within a short time period. Why not start swimming again, since it worked for you in the past? Also, the thing about dieting is that if it isn't done properly, it can backfire on you spectacularly. You might find yourself gaining weight instead of losing it. The goal is to burn more calories than you consume. I recommend finding out how many calories your body needs per day online, so you can better formulate your weight loss plan.

Fat is nothing more than compressed energy that your body stored for later use. There is no formula or specific exercise that will help you lose weight. Think it like this. Let say that your body is currently storing 2000 worth of calories/energy(in form of fat), today you consume a 1000 worth of calories/energy on that day, but by the end of that day, you only manage to use 500 worth of calories/energy( by walking, thinking, talking, driving, basically everything you do uses energy, the differences is the amount of energy that each activity use, exercise use the most energy) so what happens to that 500 worth of calories that you didn't use? Your body will convert those energy into fats. So by tomorrow, your body will have a total of 2500 worth of calories/energy in your body( do not take these number too seriously or literally, i'm just giving an example). So the only way to lose those fat is by using those energy.
I give you another example. How do a car move? By burning fuel right? Don't you think its better to store more fuel for your car just in case? In this case, the fuel in your car is your fat. That's what your body is thinking. So the only way to lose fat is by emptying those fuel in your gas tank. Gotta keep those engine running. Keep using those energy, stop going to the gas station so much to refuel your gas tank(i don't mean to starve yourself, that can be fatal, the acid in your stomach still need food to burn, or it will burn through your stomach instead, and plus your body needs protein to repair your body). Eventually, the gas tank will be empty. My advice, cardio, jogging, running, cycling, hiking, or anything alike

There are many adverts of late exhibiting drugs and medications for loosing weight. What people keep skipping is that every drug has a side effect no matter how small.

The only sure way of loosing weight is by burning down the fat stored in your body as obesity is mostly due to accumulation of fats in the human body. And the most effective and known way of burning down these fats in the human body is through exercises.

Speaking of Exercises, various exercises exist ranging from jogging to weight lifting and the likes. And the most effective system to access the best exercise based on your aim is through the gym.

A certified gym knows the best collection of exercises that best satisfies your needs of weight loss.

For me, I think the best way to lose weight and keep it off is by adopting a healthy and sustainable lifestyle that you can maintain over time. You should try to keep the level of your calory intake low. You will lose weight quickly when you eat between 1,000 and 1,200 calories. You should also try to eliminate sugar and carbohydrates from your diet. Foods like bread, rice, pasta, cookies, and ice cream are packed with calories, don't fill you up on these kinds of foods. You can also indulge in other pleasurable activities other than eating. An effective way to lose weight is to keep yourself distracted and busy so that you aren't constantly thinking about food.

The easiest way to lose weight is counting calories. This is only my experience but it works for most people. I have eliminated sugar.. sometimes I use splenda or stevia. Absolutly no white bread.. everything that I eat is whole grain. When I want to snack through the day I eat salad or something. I bake chicken with no butter in the oven and eat it in a whole grain wrap.. all the meat that I eat is baked. I also drink alot of water. My calorie intake is between 650 and 1000 per day. I am 120 lbs and have lost 20 lbs in a week and a half. Diets do not work.. you have to make it a lifestyle to eat healthy. I eat 5 times a day but count my calories. My friend came to my house with cookout a few days ago... but I went jogging afterwards lol.

I would say taking a cup of green tea a day. It burns out most fat and there isn't much energy required to do so. at the same time, one maintains a healthy regime for a very long time.

It's definitely weight lifting and HIIT on rest days. It burns so many calories, as well as making your muscles more defined and stronger. I don't even have to think about weight loss now because going to the gym has become a habit. Well, that's for an exercise routine that helps weight loss.

Also, make sure you're undergoing a caloric deficit. That means you have to use up more calories than you receive them from food sources. Basically, the golden rule for weight loss is to exercise and eat as little as possible (better if 4-5 small meals per day)

Losing weight is a big worry for many people. Each year, yet another diet book, exercise plan or fat burning potion is added to the pile in the closet. None of these get-thin-quick gimmicks seem to work, and in some cases, the fat returns in greater numbers than it left. The big question is: how to lose body fat, and how to keep from finding it again?
All of these fat-burning plans are ignoring the basic truth of weight loss: you have to work hard, and carry on working hard, to loose inches and keep in shape. A quick weight loss plan does not cover you for the period after you complete the programme. If you have a six-week weight loss plan, what happens on the seventh week? What happens a month after you finish? It won’t take too long for that fat to come back.A weight loss supplement that is supposed to burn body fat will probably waste your money, and will not help you.
The most important factor in burning body fat is diet.No matter how many hours you put in at the gym, if you are still consuming more calories than you burn you will carry on gaining weight. Take a close look at your diet. An ideal weight-loss programme includes
regular meals, and a fat limitation diet that is 55% carbohydrates, 30% protein, and 15 percent fat. Cutting fat out of your diet completely, or skipping meals, could convince your body that you are starving, and this means it will try and store whatever fats come its way –exactly the opposite of what you wanted. A balanced diet combined with exercise is the only way to burn fat and keep it off. If you find that you are having problems losing those last few pounds, then dropping carbohydrate and increasing protein will probably provide you with the answer.
Exercise is another important factor in weight loss. Burning body fat means getting the body to use stored fat as an energy source. The intensity of exercise, the length of time the exercise is performed for, and diet are the major factors in influencing the body to use fats instead of glucose for fuel. You should focus on increasing your physical activity rather than drastically reducing the amount of food you eat. Losing more one kilo a week implies that you are losing muscle rather than fat.
The most suitable kind of fat burning exercise is aerobic. A low to moderate exercise of this kind will burn fat, whereas the higher intensity exercise will just burn glucose. Any exercise will burn more stored carbohydrates at the beginning, and it usually takes between 20-30 minutes for any fat to be burned at all. Of course, the greater the intensity of exercise, the more calories are burned, but for many people, a lower intensity of exertion is the most practical. Over exercising is a danger which everyone should be aware of, and if you are worried about risk of injury, consult your doctor before beginning.
Regular aerobic training should be complimented with some weight training. Many people are intimidated by this, especially as it is possible to gain weight when you begin. However, resistance training is essential if you wish to build muscle (muscle cells burn calories more quickly than fat cells – 50-100 calories per kilogram of muscle a day as opposed to 5-7 per kilogram of fat. Strength training is the best way to increase muscle mass, and in addition to an aerobic exercise will help burn body fat.

The problem we have is backing out of anything too soon and looking for a quick fix.Nothing good comes easy.We need to keep grinding still we achieve our desires. When I started my weight loss journey,I was looking for a quick fix just like you and when it didn't happen fast,I became frustrated and disappointed. There's no quick fix anywhere unless you need a surgery.

What you need is to keep on exercising, take more water and watch your diets. You can start counting your calories and eat less of it.1500 calories a day wouldn't hurt.

If you want to lose your weight in a quicker way, then don't worry its not quite easy. You can lose your weight at least in 15 days. But to do so, you have to give it a proper time. You should start your day with a little jogging and after 2 hours you must eat an Apple. In afternoon, you must concentrate on some salads including green. In night you should drink any kind of green tea beacuse it is very healthy and natural. After performing these easy steps,I am sure that you will easily lose your weight upto 8kg just in 15 days.

Hi Sergioh651. Let me start by saying that I am not a nutritionist. However, we share the same predicament and I am willing to help you all I can. Unfortunately, you should first note that there's no certain exercise that you can do and help you quickly in loosing weight. At the beginning of this year, I weighed 90 kilograms and the doctors told me that I was overweight. What I did in loosing weight was very simple, I just changed my diet. I resulted to eating vegetables more as opposed to meat. Right now, I usually consume meat two times a week. This has really worked for me as I have been able to reduce my weight from 90 kilograms to 82 kilograms. By the end of the year, I intend to be like 76 kilograms without any workout. This method has really worked out for me although it requires a lot of discipline and commitment.

Exercise and healthy food. You should always maintain a good healthy eating habit. I maintain drinking tea to flush all the unwanted toxins I have inside my body. My exercise everyday is brisk walking and help me feel light, I can now stretch good and feel good.

Don't eat much rice during night and avoid sugary food. That really makes you feel heavy and fatigue.

The quickest way to lose weight is to stop eating. But you will gain it back as soon as you start eating again. Sound absurd?

Well, any of the other “quickest” ways will have the same result. If you are interested in the best way to lose weight and keep it off, then what you should be asking is, “ what is the correct way?”

The correct way is to lose weight is slowly. The same way you gained it. A weight loss goal of 1 to 2 pounds per week is the healthiest way to do it.

When you lose weight by adopting a more nutritious diet and increasing your daily activities to include regular exercise your metabolism has time to make the necessary changes to accommodate the change in your weight set point, Basal Metabolism Rate and body composition.

When you attempt to make dramatic changes to your diet or activity levels the body perceives them as threats to it’s energy reserves and it will fight back. These push backs are recognized as weight loss plateaus.

Your odds of achieving your weight loss goals and sustaining them is to set realistic goals that are achievable for the average person. This is only possible through permanent life style changes that are not based on a restrictive approach but healthy choices and life practices.

But if you are insistent on the quickest way. Stick with the “stop” eating. You will lose weight, guaranteed.

I would advise you take part in aerobic exercises for instance, long distance cycling. Alongside with the exercises, limit on the consumption of too much fatty foods as they play a big role to make bodies fat. Instead, bring close to you fruits and vegetables which will help trim your fat. I have personally tried lemon and it has done wonders for me. I recommend you try it also, and it should be on daily basis.

Losing weight or becoming fit need a lot of patience, discipline, hard work and time. You can't lose weight overnight, it takes time, actually a lot of time. I have a fast metabolism so I don't gain weight that quickly and I always check my weight every month. I don't exercise regularly and I don't have a diet restriction either, I just eat what I want to eat. If my weight exceeded 60 kilograms, I'll do some circuit exercise twice a week and regulate my eating habits.

Losing weight slowly is more effective than having a strenuous exercise and strict diet because if you do it quickly or in the easiest way, you will only gain it back. I suggest that you should maintain a weight that you think best suited for you. Here are my few suggestions that will make you lose weight.

    - Drink lots of water before breakfast.
    - Don't skip your breakfast.
    - Eat more vegetables, fruits, and fish.
    - When having a dinner, eat before 6:00 PM
    - Avoid carbonated drinks, sweet and fatty foods.

I don't think there's a shortcut to losing weight. It all depends on your body since they differ on the concentration of fat and also the location of fat. Before trying to lose weight you should first seek advice from a doctor or an experienced trainer. Good luck.

I 've had a problem controlling my weight from childhood. I've tried every diet under the sun. I recently found something that works. I never get hungry or feel starved. It’s the low carb diet. I do the slow carb version advocated by Tim Ferris. On this diet, you only have 20g of carbs per day. Your diet consists of fats, protein, and vegetables. Your body has no carbohydrates to burn so it burns your fats instead. A process known as Ketosis. In the first two weeks, I lost 5kg on it. I've lost between 1- 2 kgs every week since.

Another quick way to lose weight is intermittent fasting. There different ways to do this. What works best for me is the 24-72 hour fast. The last time I did a 72 hour fast, I lost 2.5 kgs. Fasting also tones your body. You also learn how to control your hunger. Gone are the days when I used to consume a whole tub of ice cream or a packet of biscuits.
