Laptops are very suitable and reliable because of many reasons.we can use laptops anywhere we want.We can use laptops in many activities of daily routine such as driving and lying on the bed etc.On the other side desktops do not provide us reliability.Laptops are better than desktops as they have options of mobility and portability. We can charge the laptops and use them without the direct supply.

For anything involved/major it has to be desktop - for shear power/speed and also (in my case) for multiple screens - they make my time in front of them it so much more productive.;);)

my small screen laptop does have an advantage over the large desktop though, as I can use it in the family room and be around everyone, rather than tucked away in the computer room.

My conclusion is desktop has it own advantage were necessary and laptop has it own too, it base-on suitability right........?
    Cheers,
    Ready:D

I prefer laptop. My reasons being that laptops are portable and convenient to use. I had a Lenovo G40 laptop, and I can tell you it's much more convenient to work with your laptop, than with a desktop. Laptops are easily to carry about. With my laptop, I can work anywhere and anytime. It doesn't require that I must be in the office with a desktop to be able to work; because I can do just that with my laptop even when I'm in a subway. Also, being able to work anywhere and anytime with my laptop helps me to manage my time. I wound not need to be wasting time waiting till I got to a desktop to do what I had to do.

Moreover, It is more comfortable and enjoyable to watch movies or video clips with a laptop. This is because laptop allows for more flexibility. You can decide on which position that is more comfortable for you.

As for the comparison between the two machines, i feel that the only reason that people choose a laptop is because it's more convenient and it's portable, since even though a laptop can perform relatively the same tasks as a desktop it will not be of the same force and speed as the mobile components lack power to match the desktop ones. As for myself considering i'm a gamer and an avid editor, i can't be bothered with a laptop since even though it might suit my needs it will be far too expensive in comparison to a desktop of the same specifications.

There will always be pros and cons.

As for laptops, we all know how convenient they can be. They're easier to carry around and be available within a hand's reach. They're ideal for students who need them to be brought from home to school or wherever they will need them to be. They're also good for jobs where you need presentations all the time.

From personal experience, I think desktops can be handy if you need to do some real big time multitasking since you'll get a bigger and better screen. It's also great for some high-tech gaming where you'll need a PC with good specs.

I prefer using a laptop because I'm the traveler type. I always use them in different places, so I like the idea of better portability. What about you guys?

I prefer to use laptop because it was more convenient than desktop. You can carry it all the time without hassle. The only disadvantage of laptop is if some other parts is malfunctioning, you cannot use it at all. The advantage of desktop, if the monitor is damage you can still use the CPU, the mouse, and the keyboard.

As soon as cell phones become as powerful as laptops and computers, I will switch away from both. By this I mean the ability to play all games of any level, the use of all hardware, extra usb ports, cables and support for all peripherals. A nice, bright projection screen for use on any wall would be awesome. Then, who would need a giant computer? I may be getting old, but even I see the benefit in miniaturization. One day, every desktop you have will be museum worthy. I saw a 386 go for $800 on eBay 2 years ago! To answer your question though, I like desktops because of power and build ability. Laptops are fine for people on the go.

    Hello Haroon Rasheed

It is vigilant of you to look at laptops as having the nice feature of being compact for things such as travel, and even being used in the bedroom when we are not traveling. As you said, in terms of mobility, laptops certainly have the wonderul ability to be used for mobile purposes. Further, even with laptops being chargeable, desktops still remain at the forefront of computer use as the predecessors to the laptop genre. Very nice post.

I have both laptop and Personal desktop. It's more fun to have both of it, because when ever my laptop is not available, I have desktop to use, as an alternative. I don't necessarily use my desktop, because my sister always use it, for projects in school. She was prioritized, for having a lot of project, as desktop becomes necessity to her everyday activities.

The laptop is always accessible to carry anywhere. I am more comfortable to use it, when I go outside working with it. I have my own personal projects which need some personal discussion with my colleagues. We have many projects established in the past, and most of them were success.

Both of them are useful, and I am personally experienced it. I have a laptop, and the brand of it is Republic of Gamers. It is a known product, and have a good reputations of every customers who would like to buy with them.

Though I can't give you links I can give you good advise on what to choose. I have many computers but 2 main ones. A big powerful desktop and a cheap laptop. The Laptop I use for messing around. Browsing the internet, and music. The desktop I build myself for, maybe half of what it would cost to get a laptop with these specs. I'm not a gamer so I didn't put much into graphics but I do have 2 graphics card to support 4 monitors. Good processor, ram, MB and an SSD. This is my main computer I use for work.
Aside from the obvious things, an important benefit is upgradability. Instead of having to get a whole new computer for the next super great game. You can just get a new graphics card and carry on. Or for a full overall you can just get a new MB, RAM, CPU and GPU while keeping the Case powersupply and drives. All this saves you money.

    Thank you.

Laptop computers are highly portable and allow you to use your computer almost anywhere.
Desktop computers have a more comfortable keyboard and a much easier to use mouse. It should be noted that an aftermarket large, comfortable mouse and mouse pad are also possible with a laptop.

Many things are considered computers, but if you’re referring to a desktop PC, then the only two reasons why you would need one are simple. The first one is that you may not need mobility/portability, and the second one has to do with needing all the power you can get with a specific budget as well as upgradeability in case you need even more.

A laptop is useful, but do yourself a favor and purchase a 2in1 detachable tablet - you’ll be able to have a tablet and a laptop. Gaming is far from ideal on most laptops, but there are options out there that balance portability and performance pretty well - but a desktop is better for such use cases.

I prefer Laptop over desktop . As laptop has more flexibility to use . We can use laptop at our convenience . I generally have low voltage problem at home that makes difficult to work on desktop . Here my laptop come as a rescue. I can work on my lappy without worrying about power failure .

I have both laptop as well as a desktop. I use my laptop when I like to work in a comfort position. Like while watching tv on a sofa, recliner or on my bed with my legs stretched out. While I feel comfortable working on my laptop, I prefer the desktop for serious work.

Both type of computers are good to use but still one of those two are more economical than the other so i will compare each of them and give you all my thoughts then i will decide. First of is desktop, it is one of the first type of computers that ever get famous which until now is being used it is a really good piece of technology it has a wide range area of customizability in terms of its upgrade to make the computer respond or perform faster as smoother than the usual because now a days computer games and applications require a high spec PC in order to operate so desktop is a good choice also and what i don't like on desktop is it's really bulky it requires a large space to occupy in the room, it's not portable and really expensive aside from its upgrades. And last is laptop, they are also a form of computer what the desktop can do can also be done by laptops it's really great to have because they are portable and easy to handle. Laptops do not have much internal upgrades it might cost expensive too but it is a one time payment because they already offer you with high specs. So if i were to choose between laptop or desktop i'd choose desktop because they are always one step ahead better than laptops even though it's very expensive I'll definitely get my moneys worth.
