I must say it's Adele and Shania Twain.

Adele's voice is simply majestic. She really makes me feel that she's just there singing the song for me. It reflects on her songs how every heartache and heartbreak. She makes sure that every sound that comes from her mouth will be very endearing. She is very cute too. I love on how she curse and laugh when she was in the Carpool Karaoke show.

Shania Twain! Oh my! I love on how she sings. She's like a storyteller and make sure that she's not just singing that she is imparting messages through her songs.

Paul Stanley of Kiss is my all time favorite singer. The ranges he can hit, plus he did Phantom of the Opera and a Folgers commercial?! That is the coolest thing ever!

My favorite musician is Eminem. I love his music because it is unique and relatable in real life as he speaks about his life, struggles and where he has come from. He is truly an inspiration.

My favorite singer is Lana Del Rey. I love pretty much all of her music and her aesthetic is everything. If you get the chance, definitely listen to her because she's amazing. I recommend Born To Die for any new listeners.

Lots of people considered him a feel-good singer! I liked that he continued to perform after he'd gone platinum and younger singers had sold more albums.

Which songs did you like, Mylenix?

I like Erykah Badu's voice too, Gomer3d. Reading her name starts "Slipped me a mickey" playing in my mind. How long ago was that? I only heard it once!

I read that she stripped in public recently, and am wondering what pop singers have to do these days to get attention. (Erykah Badu isn't even that young any more. Was she making a statement about aging gracefully?)

Why am I surprised to read this? Rap has an angry or at least rebellious sound and people used to worry that some Eminem songs were promoting hate. I don't listen to a lot of rap myself but remember hearing the controversial "Slim Shady" song as more comic than hateful, then being convinced that "Eight Mile Road" was just a good song. I can imagine lyrics like that inspiring people to hang in there, keep going to work and "fight the good fight," Sainfai.

Cool that he's still singing! I hadn't heard much about Bon Jovi since 1987 (that summer I had a roommate whose teenaged son was a Bon Jovi fan). In folk and country music even extreme age is considered a plus point ("At 85, she still hit a flawless C above middle C"), but I tend to think of pop music as being marketed mainly on sex appeal with a target audience age of about thirteen. It's nice to know that even pop singers have loyal fans.

This has been an interesting thread. It's made me feel so old, I have to pick two singers from my grandparents' generation to restore a feeling of youthfulness :)

Jim Reeves has been a favorite with four generations of my family. When he recorded a memoir on LP, my maternal grandmother instantly recognized him as "Little Jimmy Reeves" whom she used to baby-sit in Panola County, Texas. Both of my parents liked his smooth voice and "country music comes to town" pop songs when they were dating. By the time I was born, Jim Reeves was no longer alive, but my parents had collected all of his albums, multiple copies of some of them, and I grew up singing along with those LP's--especially the gospel albums. One of the first articles I published online was about liking Jim Reeves even though I'm not especially keen on 1950s teen romance. It did well enough that, when one of my nephews was old enough to read it, he commented that Jim Reeves was a favorite of his too.

Maybelle Carter put my home town on the map, at least for country music fans. She had a very old-fashioned style of singing and speaking. Not everyone likes it or even finds it easy to understand, but about a hundred years ago, that's how people in our part of the world used to sound. "Mother Maybelle" was a real trouper and a fine person. Even her sons-in-law, of whom Johnny Cash was the best known, had only good things to say about her. Many women singers of her vintage just stood still and gave the guys in the audience an eye full, but Maybelle Carter was one of a very few serious musicians who've played an autoharp. The year she died, my father gave me an autoharp, a stack of old Carter Family songs on cassette, and a "go and do likewise" look.

For those who are interested...the lowest voice in the Original Carter Family belonged to A.P. Carter, who was a song collector, writer, and arranger more than a singer, and his grandson Dale Jett still performs and hosts concerts at the store A.P. Carter bought to use as a folk music showplace.

My favorite singer is Matty Healy of The 1975 which is also my favorite band. He got the appeal every time that he performs, he is a romantic singer. And he is also a very good songwriter. His songs are very lovely and emotional especially their recent album "I like it when you sleep for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it". I would recommend his songs to those who are in need of love.

My favorite singer will always be Beyonce. Her powerful voice is something I really love. She knows how to blend in with the beats of the song .And have you seen the excitement that is brought out in her music videos? She is such a great dancer for example in her songs, single ladies and love on top. Besides being a great dancer she is an independent woman something that makes me adore her even more.

My favorite singer is Whitney Houston. He voice is like coming from the depth of her soul. It touches everyones heart. I love how she voice those very low notes so calmly that you would definitely stop and just appreciate it. You would love how she breathe in those notes and create the sound. I love how her music relates to everyone who is inlove and live to love.

My favourite singer of all time is the king of pop Michael Jackson, he was one of the most popular entertainers in the world and a great fashion icon.
His musical approach is entirely different from other musicians because he is a great dancer with a perfect balance of music and good lyrics.
His popular songs include beat it, thriller, man in the mirror, black or white, bad, but my all-time favourite is speechless.

My favorite singer is Sam Smith because of his vocals that can make you feel all the emotions he's trying to portray. He is the best male vocalist in my opinion because of his range and the quality of his voice. His tone and his ability to hit powerful high notes and smooth falsetto notes are unbelievably good. His breakout song "Stay With Me" is probably a good evidence to prove that he is indeed a superb singer and the you will feel the emotions running through your veins.

Eminem, Hands down. He has the best rap style. Eminem knows how to write songs and he has the best flow or any raper I have ever seen. Eminem gets into his lyrics he doesn't just say oh yeah I think this would sound great with this. No, he takes his lyrics and he will have his first sentence then with that same sentence he can make it go backwards or flip flop but he has a certain style that no one else can get on board with because he is the greatest of all time.

I agree with you. My all-time favorite singer is Justin Bieber. I have been a belieber since 2009 and I was just 9 years old at that time. He is one of my inspirations in life. One of the reasons Justin Bieber inspires me is because of his musical talent and his constant drive to never give up. My favorite song of Justin Bieber is "Never Say Never" because he said that we just have to believe and that everything is possible, and that is what he showed through out his life.
