how do I keep my brain young?

    How to keep the brain young is important for once development. There are various ways to keeps the brain young, one of them being reading thirty minutes for five days. Other is exercise will help you keep your mind young.
    It has been observed that eating colorful vegetables keep your mind young.
    What do think are some of the activities on can do to keep his mind young?

    Never heard of the colourful veggies one, but sounds fun, so why not? :)
    Listen to happy music, take brain challenges - like crosswords or word searches or other brain teasers. Learn something new - nothing makes you feel young like knowing you know nothing. :)

    Brain health can not be mentioned without top on the list, exercise. This is key and you can simply walk a few minutes a day if mostly recommended yoga is not your thing. Other healthy habits in this regard should be; daily intake of enough water, get adequate night sleep, try learning a new language as this a a scientifically proven way to trigger growth of neurons.

    Neuroplasticity is the study of changes in human brain throughout his/her life. A simple google search on Neuroplasticty would yield detailed information on keeping brain young.

    A very interesting question Dennis. Thanks for asking that. I am sure many people would like to keep their brains young. I feel that by keeping your brain young is to use it all the time. I love to walk, I love to write, I love to socialize. Those are the many things that keep your brain young. Another way is to say to your self that you are still young nevermind about the age you are.

    I read a lot of scientifical texts, articles at work. When I have free time, I play mahjongg or do crosswords. I try to eat healthy foods and eat regulary. I do sports at least twice a week.

    I think keeping the brain young is quite difficult and it has many elements like eating, sleeping, walking, having hobbies or interesting discussions. Life long learning is also a good way to keep the brain young and fresh.

    I think this is really nice Dennis. To add on to what you have said I think engaging your brain also helps to keep the brain young. Playing mind games such as chess, doing math quizzes without the help of a calculator, all these help trigger the growth of neurons.
